Oh, I forgot to mention after seeing the cardiologist the nurse asked if she could have a word with me. Apparently the hospital work with a charity who arrange "special days" for seriously ill people, and they've been asked to nominate more people, and she said with the year I've had she thinks I deserve it, so she's putting my name forward...

Seemed like a funny halloween name at the time, didn't think anyone would take it seriously since I was still posting.
I knew about the name change before I saw the Thread update, but I can see how people would freak.
As for the special day, good for you. You do deserve it, although there's nothing wrong with passing it on to someone else if that's your preference.
Out of all the items on the list, I would definitely ride in a Hot Air Balloon. I've always wanted to do that. The Orient Express sounds fun, too.

Be serious for a minute though - if Bob had really died, no-one would have changed his name to "(deceased)"! That would be beyond callous.
Hey Skutter, good luck in you recovery. I haven't been around on here much until fairly recently, but in any case... I know it isn't any fun to be sick or injured.
I don't reckon I know what the best pick for your vacation opportunity might be, but the fact that you aren't sure whether you are deserving enough would seem to be sufficient evidence to me that you are.

Changed my name to (deceased) then continued posting updates in a thread I started 2 months back rather than making an announcement thread as they have for other members who've died.
It's not like it was a practical joke or anything. I started this thread over 2 months ago and have been posting in it on and off since then, I didn't think anyone would assume I'd actually died, or that if I had they would change my name to Skutter(deceased).
I liked that other guy he used to hang out with. What was his name again? Zimon Rainsheep or something...?
