Is anyone going to any upcoming Star Trek Cons? Maybe there'll be more solid info then.

Well, there is Shore Leave next month, which features most of the authors and editors of the books, and tends to be where the big book realted announcements are almost always made.

I'm pretty certain we were all joking. Icheb is a "big brother" to Naomi, as "Full Circle" explicitly phrased it.

Very pretty. But I'd rather see Icheb being protective of Naomi rather than persuin gher himself.

Remember when Icheb thought B'Lanna had a crush on him? He acted very mature about it, I thought.

Poor Icheb was the most mature, hardworking and rational person on Voyager toward the end of the series (well, with the possible exception of Tuvok). Everyone saw him as a little kid, but he really wasn't. Honestly, he was my favorite character and I wish they'd done more with him. There was a ton of wasted potential there.

And so it was with a lot of Voyager characters, etc.

Remember the Co-operation from the episode "Unity"? Since they were former Borg, would they have lost everything or become Borg II?

OK, it took me a full 5 seconds to realize you were not being funny and not referring to Jeri Ryan the actress but 7 of 9 the character and her Borg hardware ...lol.

I think I am becoming a dirty minded old man

I'm just soooo over all the Borg-related stuff, welcoming the idea of something new being explored in this book, but I am giving this a fair chance, I guess. But I won't be lying - my excitement faded a little.

You'd rather they just brushed it all under the carpet or ignored the consequences? They've just gotten rid of the Borg entirely, I'm sure you can handle a few books of examining what this means for Seven and others effected by them. :)

No. It's not about the Borg. The Borg are gone. Voyager's mission is to make sure they're gone and to discover what's going on in the Delta Quadrant now that they aren't around anymore. Unworthy isn't a Borg story, it's a post-Borg story. Just as Losing the Peace and A Singular Destiny are about exploring the post-Borg state of the Alpha Quadrant, so Unworthy is about exploring the post-Borg state of the Delta Quadrant (and Seven of Nine).

Sweet :techman:. Does this mean that Unworthy won't be "battle heavy" just as Mr. Leisner described Losing the Peace? Maybe more of a character piece...

Either way, I can't wait for Unworthy :)

I wouldn't call it battle heavy but as in all things Trek that I write, I work for a balance between action and character. We want both. As I know I've said elsewhere, some story threads left unresolved in Full Circle are finally finished, but of course, new ones are also set up.

Oh, and then there's the new worlds, new civilizations...you know..Star Trek stuff.

Hell, after Full Circle, she could be saying "the primary focus of this book is a new puppy for Harry Kim" and I'd still be buying it instantly

But yes, all of this does sound fascinating.
