Breaking: Michael Jackson hospitalized

June 25th. For the eternal child that he was I guess it is fitting that he would die on the opposite day to Christmas. :(

I was a fan of his as a child, but the last decade hasn't been kind to my perception of him. His influence on modern music cannot be denied, I guess it is better that we remember him for that rather than the creepy years.

That's just silly.

Reports that the Beatles back catalogue will be given back to Paul McCartney in Jackson's will.

On the west coast, MTV is just playing Futurama. You're right, it doesn't make sense.

As for Jackson's death, I will keep my comments tame. But I do find it somewhat mad how quickly opinion turns on a fellow once he dies. I don't mean to downplay his importance to music in the 80s and 90s. But the man himself? His death doesn't change his behavior.

Which is why when I posted my thoughts I said that the MJ that I knew had gone long ago. Today was just a reminder of the good music he had when (And I'm sorry to be racist but it is how I feel) he was still black, plus the Free Willy song.

When he was still black and the short time he kinda' looked Hispanic. Bad and Dangerous were good albums.

BBC news say the fire service ambulance had to force their way into his home. This suggests that he was alone and called them himself, why would they have to break in otherwise?

you're not being racist. I happen to think he looked his best when he was "fully black". he was a cute kid and a good-looking dude back then. I wasn't a fan, per se. but he was HUGE in India and a lot of my cousins literally worshipped him back then.

so he must have felt sick and called 911. he died alone, then.

very sad.

^ I'm only speculating here, the BBC didn't choose to comment or speculate on that part... my thinking is, if someone was there with him to call the emergency services, then why not let them in too? Weird.

A lot people in those situations don't realize that the door is locked, tune out the knocking/doorbell and are overcome in the moment.

Popping a door isn't uncommon.
