Well, I don't know if this works, but I just had an idea for a little game we could play to celebrate the special moments all Enterprise episodes are filled with – regardless of their quality as a whole. Maybe it's the big scenes that changed the series that are your favorites. Or it is the little character moments that make us love this crew so much. Maybe you just post the first thing that's on your mind when you think about the episode. You decide ...

Here's how it works: Post the title of the episode that comes right after the episode of the preceding poster (you can use this episode list as a reference). And then name your favorite moment of that episode. That way we will eventually make our way through the whole series.

So, what do y'all say? Is anyone game? :)

Okay, I'll begin with Broken Bow.

I love the moment when Trip wants to help that alien child on Rigel X and T'Pol has to remind him that humans must learn to stop drawing conclusions about cultures they don't know yet. That was pure Star Trek to me. :)

And now Fight or Flight ... :)

    I'm one...

I love the part in Fight or Flight where Tucker get's a little upset with how things are going and says "We've been out here for two weeks now and the only first contact we've made is with a dying worm." I think that really establishes Trip's character very early on. For me, this was the episode I really started to get interested in him, especially, as for me he really stood out among all of the cast. This episode also really starts to develop all of the characters in much more depth... as Broken Bow really focused on Archer, his past, and the new mission, and everyone else sort of took a backseat. Finally, the last scene with Hoshi and Phlox is really touching... I wish they had developed their interactions a little bit more over Enterprise's short run.

On to Strange New World :-)

I love the scene in Strange new world where the crew land on the planet wearing those silly caps, and Archer goes all happy and stuff and even makes a group foto, while you can hear T'pol thinking "Stupid humans... Why did I take this assignment?"

    Next is "Unexpected".

Yay, responses! Thanks, guys! Actually I was on the verge of writing this thread off. :)

What I loved about Unexpected are the scenes depicting the procedures Trip has to go through in order to adjust to the alien's environment. Somehow that felt very real to me. Also, it wasn't as superfluous as the ridiculous decon scenes from the pilot.

And now for something completely different: Terra Nova.

I loved that Terra Nova ended.

Next up is The Andorian Incident.

Just kidding, but seriously this is one of my least favorite episodes (I don't consider TATV an official episode of Enterprise, so that's saying a lot). The only redeeming factor to me was the idea that something as simple as a probe can have far reaching affects on an entire civilization. This has real-life implications with hundreds of deep space probes with pseudo-nuclear cores flying about through space... for all we know, there could be warheads on their way to Earth as we speak. Cool concept.

So on to The Andorian Incident, one of my favorite ENT episodes.

I love any part of The Andorian Incident with Shran. A great introduction for the character, and for the Andorians in general.

    Breaking the Ice is next.

    Fantastic! I got "Civilization"

I got a real Original Series vibe from this one. Genuine exploration. A hidden enemy amid a medieval looking world with hooded garments and crossbows.

Not entirely forgetting a decent line from Archer:
"[insert amount here] light-years and our first act getting here is breaking and entering."

First mention of Tellarites by the bad guy, whose shop has an anti-matter reactor in the basement.

I would say that's my favorite moment of this episode as well. I love how it captures both the wonderful humor of Enterprise and the tense relationship between humans and Vulcans at this time.

As for Civilization, it's rather mushy scene, but I like the moment when Archer kisses Riann to distract her from his malfunctioning translator.

    Next up is Fortunate Son.

EDIT: Damn, Chris beat me to it. I have to think about my favorite Fortunate Son moment for a second ...

For me, there isn't really much to like about Fortunate Son. But one thing I do love about it is its production design. I think the sets of the Fortunate look great as does the CGI model of the Fortunate itself. I like how they made it a somewhat updated version of the Botany Bay design.

Cold Front is the next episode ...

"Cold Front" I found to be a pretty decent entry in the Temporal Cold War arc. We meet Daniels for the first time, find out he's an undercover agent from 900 years' time and then he's killed. Not entirely sure how he comes back from that, but anyhew... Future Guy's silhouette looks slightly different from that in the Pilot. Just the angles shot or different make up for Enterprise's answer to Dr. Claw I guess, not that we ever see him properly. Grrrrr....

The decompression scene with Archer hanging on for dear life, while Silik dives out into space to catch his ride... that whole confrontation is very impressive stuff and an early example of how badass the Captain could be, if the writers tried hard enough.

Locking away all of Daniels hidden futuristic devices and Archer saying "God knows, what else is in there." Loved all that and nicely chilling music as we fade to black. You have to wonder what happened to all that tech. Did the Suliban steal it during their capture of Enterprise next year, did it vanish when the timeline reset at the beginning of Season 4 or did it find its way into the hands of Section 31?

Silent Enemy is one of my favourite Seson 1 eps. The aliens are very scary and chilling, and the fact that we never learned what they were up to, or even saw more then a glimpse of them was great. The best scene IMO is when they meat the alien ship for the second time, and it just sits there and there's this very dark scary music on the background that makes it much more threathening then their first encounter (which just gave a Lol, what did they want? reaction).

Okay, I'll bite for Dear Doctor, one of my favorite episodes because of the ethical dilemma proposed. One of the reasons I like it is because I don't totally agree with the captain's ultimate decision. My favorite scene occurs in the Mess Hall in the middle of the night. Archer can't sleep, and Phlox comes in and they argue/discuss Phlox's evolutionary theory about the Menk. Phlox argues for letting "nature" take its course on the planet, by withholding the genetic cure. Archer leans over and snaps, "Hell with nature!" in exactly the same tone you'd use to say "F*ck that noise," if this were HBO. Just something about Bakula's body language and delivery of that line just makes that scene for me.

Sorry, forgot to add that Sleeping Dogs was next.

Sleeping Dogs: I got a kick out of Hoshi being the one who suggests blowing the entire Klingon ship's arsenal to push them higher out of the atmosphere. And Malcolm says he likes to blow things up!

    Shadows of P'Jem is next.

A few memorable moments from "Shadows of P'Jem" such as the dinner scene between Archer and Trip, as he winds him up with the promise of Coridan's Warp 7 shipyard and then saying he'll only need bring Hoshi along. :p

Great to see Shran back, hidden in the shadows at first... only his antennae showing. Coridan is apparently in the same system being debated over a century later in TOS "Journey to Babel".

Good to see some consequences from the earlier Andorian show, with the Vulcans threatening to suspend joint fleet operations plus wanting T'Pol back. I like how this sets up a trend of returning favours between Archer and Shran. Some dumb stuff like "the ship's steward" and his Vulcan Captain being tied up together. ;)

Funny how the look of the Coridans changes by fourth season show "Demons". Either an error or the planets in this system are home to very different looking races... like the Rigel one.

    "Shuttlepod One" up next...

Shuttlepod One - my fave episode of all Enterprise.

So many moments to choose from.

I think though it has to be Trip blowing out the candle after Malcolm tells him how he was just starting to feel at home on Enterprise

"Suddenly five more minutes sounds kinda nice"

    Fusion is next

It's been so long since I watched any ENT episode I can hardly remember any scenes. As for Fusion, two scenes stand out to me and I vividly remember them.

The first one is the scene at the beginning where Archer shows T'Pol his old astronomy book and she notices the sticker saying "property of Admiral Johnny Archer" and Archer says he had high hopes, then. It's a cute scene, I think, and it also underlines the implicit trust Archer has in T'Pol and his naiveté, too.

The second one is towards the end where Archer provokes Tolaris and is thrown across the room by him. It was very impressive because we see what is below the Vulcans' stoic surface.

I also liked Trip's remarks about how regret is the strongest emotion. I know from personal experience so that resonated with me.

    Next up: Rogue Planet.

Rogue Planet. One of those episodes that stalls the list.

    I like this exchange:

TUCKER: So, she was wearing a nightgown? You think she's real.
    ARCHER: I wasn't hallucinating.
TUCKER: Captain, it doesn't make any sense.
ARCHER: I know. Trip, have you ever known me to do anything foolish? I mean, really foolish?
TUCKER: I remember a poker game at Jupiter Station once. Other than that.
ARCHER: Last night I walked into an alien jungle, alone, chasing a woman who couldn't possibly have been there.
    TUCKER: That might qualify.

    Next up: Acquisition.
