Anyone else not feeling it?

"It" being Pixar's new movie this year.

Can't say it is really motivating me or enlightening me any. Doesn't look the least bit interesting to me.

Well, when I saw this little bit, I "got it", or at least I thought I did. The casual way he delivered the line sold it. But then I read a short plot summary of how complex and depressing the film really is. I finally realized that it wasn't as charming as that bit. then the actual trailer came, and I was like "No, thanks."

I saw a trailer for it this weekend. Looks cute, not quite as good as Pixar's other films, but I will probably see it.

Saw an extended clip when I caught Bolt(don't ask) and found myself alternately scratching my head and laughing out loud.

I think that Up looks great, myself... but then again, I'm a sucker for anything with airships. I'm wayyy more interested in it then I was in Cars (which I still haven't seen and don't really care to).

I might be Pixared out. I mean Wall-E was fantastic, so was Ratatouille but this one looks more like a bona-fide kids movie, the first since Monster's Inc. Of course they all were targeted towards children, but they had a flare that made this work for everyone. Up doesn't get me too excited. It's really just there I think, and I keep forgetting it's coming out this summer. Perhaps maybe I wanted Pixar to take the summer off or release one for the holidays. I'll still go see it, but yeah, I'm not really feeling it as much as I've done the others.

^^ Strange, I get the opposite feeling from it, and that Wall-E and this seem to be drifting farther and farther from kids movies.

I echo the Cars sentiment.

Still haven't seen it and have ZERO interest in it.

I still don't get the whole "They're alive but they also need people in them" deal. Just all seems really weird.

Wow, you really haven't seen it, have you?

There are no humans in Cars whatsoever. They don't exist in that world at all.

No I have not seen it. I just heard from somebody who, I presume HAD that at some point people get in them for the final race.

Now the concept is even creepier because where did the cars come form? Who made them? Is that company being subsidised by the Cars Universe government now because sales are dropping?!?

TOO MANY QUESTIONS I TELLS YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks better than 'Cars,' 'A Bugs Life,' or 'Finding Nemo.'

What's not to like?

EDIT: Are you sure you're watching the newest trailer? The earlier ones really didn't show much:

Bugs Life and Finding Nemo I didn't really like much either. They were good, but feh. I thought Cars was pretty good.

Watched that trailer, after it crashed my browser and I found it on YouTube, better, but I dunno. Still not getting me pumped to see, although I'll end up in the theater seeing no matter what.

It's never dealt with at all. It's a universe exactly like ours except all lifeforms are cars. With very few revisions it could be a standard flick with human characters. The reasons why there are sentient cars are unimportant. It's just a hook.

You have to see it if for nothing else, George Carlin is the voice of a 1960's VW Bus.
