New Cast Photos

I think I can see the SHAT reflected in their eyes!

I don't mind the coloring too much. It seemed odd at first, but gold, red, blue, and black are the starfleet colors. Even if black is a bit out of place.

Well, having the one Asian guy colored yellow may send the wrong message.

Also looks like the delta shield logo is part of the fabric!

I don't see it. If it is there it's probably another camera trick.

If not, does that mean that each crew is going to have their ship's insignia as part of the fabric?

Considering how they routinely travel many times the speed of light, I don't think that's outside the realm of possibilities.

I wasn't implying that it wasn't possible, just that doesn't seem to make much sense. (Sort of like those that swear the bridge is offset.)

Meh, it's a little thing that won't be noticed by many people (unless they point it out) that just makes it futuristic...something a gold sweater with a fabric arrowhead just doesn't really pull off.

The delta, as previously indicated, is indeed part of the uniform fabric - after the fashion of similar patterns in the "Spider-Man" and "Superman Returns" outfits.

There are no "ship insignias" in the film. As has been made evident by leaked images of Starfleet Academy, etc., the delta shield represents all of Starfleet.

Do they still make towels and stuff? Seems to me they were a major brand when I was a kid (before the Great Meteor hit what your people now call Central America) but I don't notice them lately.

EDIT: Ah, J.C. Penney still sells them. Thank goodness.

Plus, I found this nifty NSFW Cannon towel ad (from 1945!):

Nice!

If Zoe Saldana is wearing that outfit, I suspect the movie will be a hit.

Delta shield, my ass. Or, more importantly, her ass.

Those look amazing like the first crop from a few weeks ago. The only one that I was able to recognize was Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy.

Where is Rand and Yeoman Smith? And Ben Finney and Number 1 and Chapel and...

*FAN OVERLOAD...PLEASE REBOOT*

And where's this guy?

The first set were more interesting. These were a bit boring or something in comparison. I think it's the expression on Yelchin's face that's off putting. It looks like he just unleashed a silent but deadly fart in the middle of Starfleet Ethics 101.

surely with modern CGI they could have superimposed the original actors faces over the new guys?

I guess the director was just too lazy and disrespectful to do that.

That is why the movie will flop.

Yay this film got better as Sam Neil is playing Scotty!! Seriously though I didn't really recognise any of them but I'm not worried as it is only four pictures and not a two-hour (or whatever it is) movie.
