Include William Shatner in Star Trek XI Petition

well lucas finances his own films so i suspect he can do just about what he wants to do.
while a studio might frown on the $$ to get together several actors, rebuild sets ect...

about the only filming that takes place once primary filming has stopped is some clean up stuff done by second unit.

Second, this is a direct reply to Robert Orcci saying "never say never" on including him with a possible a cameo role. Admittedly, he did say that he didn think it likely, but...never say never. Here is the link - http://trekmovie.com/2008/06/16/orci-kurtzman-talk-why-chose-tos-prequel-shatner/

Pookha - Yes I did know that filming already finished. That never stopped Geroge Lucas from filliming a couple of last minute scenes for ROTS with only a few months left before release. Robert Orcci doesn't seem to discount the possiblity, so why should anybody else. By him mentioning it, I ASS-umed that he wasn't worried about sqeezing in a scene or two before release. Also rememeber that they have another 6 months of time that they initially didn't anticipate. Got some time to kill? Film a Shatner scene!

The other thing I mentioned in my last post was that it didn't occur to me that Trekmovie is bit more tolerant of BBKer's like myself. I automatically ASS-umed (there I go again) that the same situation applied here.

TrekMovie is tolerant of all points of view. However due to some fervent 'BBKers' we had to begin to enforce a policy of 'no agenda posters' as in those whose sole purpose is to advocate one thing or another and solely post about it and attempt to divert threads into 'their issue' whatever that issue is. In my opinion the more fervent BBKers actually turned many of fans against their cause due to some of their tactics, accusations, and general attitude. This kind of backlash is evident in this thread as well. Not all those who advocate Shatner are problematic, but a few bad apples turned off a lot of the average Trekkies.

As for this petition, it would have helped to name all the producers and spell the names of those producers correctly.

Wow, here we go: typical Trek BBS nerds attacking a new guy for wanting Shat in the film and creating a petition.

How charming. Many of you need to grow the fuck up and get over yourselves.

You know what, you 6 guys aren't the fan base. I am so sorry that I offended your sensibilties. Geez get over yourselves. Thanks for the big welcome to the foruims!:wtf:
Grow a pair or leave! This place gets rough sometimes and you just got your baptism by fire. You know what they say about opinions. This place is no different...

...and, welcome aboard.

Finishing your statement about opinions: it has to do with assholes?

Is that really what you want to be?

Consider it.

Superman, this post might have carried somewhat more credibility had it been worded differently and had it not had this puerile thing
attached to the bottom of it, and this:

was completely unnecessary and treads closer to the line than I really want to see here. As they stand, you didn't do anyone any favors with these two gems, least of all yourself.

Is that really what you wanted?

Nimoy is in it because he is a major part of the story. If Shatner were to be shoved in at the last second, it wouldn't effect or help the story in any way. I say leave him out.

Well..since according to you it will neither help or hurt the film...

I say PUT HIM IN!

>giggles< I like watching the arguments back and forth. >giggles....Fart...<

....opps... excuse me...

I would put Kirk in Star Trek:XII IF there is a solid need to, and of course if Star Trek: XI does well.

Blasphemy will NOT be tolerated on this board! [Prays to the Great Bird of the Galaxy to forgive Fergy and spare his wayward soul...] :guffaw:

well they've already got some hokey plot with old spock teaming up with young spock so they might as well throw Shatner in

YOU DON'T KNOW THAT! For all you know it's old Spock AGAINST young Spock!

So there.

And all.

<phew...I need a juicebox!>

Shatner should do a song about not being in the movie, and bust all over Nimoy in it, a la east-west coast rappers.

Well, I'm signature no. 11. I doubt if this will ever happen, but at least I can sleep tonight knowing I did my part. :) The Shat must be respected!
