What other TNG crewmember would've been interesting on DS9?

So, let's say another TNG regular besides Worf was brought on to DS9 in season four. Who else do you think would've been interesting and made a good fit for the show?

For the sake of this topic, we're ignoring that Worf was brought on for ratings. So, don't feel you have to choose based on that. This is purely who you'd find most interesting. We'll even allow choses like Picard who'd never be brought on as a supporting character. We can even include former regulars like Wesley and recurring Pulaski.

Personally, I'd choose, in no particular order, Wesley, Pulaski, or Data. I'm tempted to say Riker, but he's a ship man. No way he'd agree to a space station assignment unless forced, and being forced would be too much like Sisko.

Pulaski

Adding her in might be tricky, maybe inserted above Bashir when the war ramps up and the casualties poured in. But she would argue with everyone! It would be glorious!

Hannah Bates

Not a TNG crewmember as such, but could be a different kind of love interest for Rom.

Pulaski is the only one I can think of. Firstly because I think she was underutilized in TNG, secondly because I think her relative experience would be a good foil for Bashir's lack thereof.

Sound of Her Voice mentions the need for a counselor…so have Marina as a Special Guest on the station after that episode, and showing Ezri a thing or two every so often, so it wasn’t as big of a trial by fire as it was for her character.

And supporting a grieving Worf.

I'm okay with the crossover characters being limited to the ones they had. Too many creates the impression that the Alpha Quadrant is about the size of a high school.

How about Lieutenant Barclay serving under O'Brien as part of the engineering team for DS9 and the Defiant?
And him being part of the Defiant would've allowed him to still have the First Contact cameo.

Come to think of it. Did Broccoli...I mean Barclay and O'Brien ever interact on TNG?

They're in a scene together in Barclay's first appearance, Hollow Pursuits.
They also interact in Realm of Fear (Notably, Miles introduces Reg to his spider named Christina).
Also, "Realm of Fear" was the completion of the transition of O'Brien to an enlisted man after he had previously worn lieutenant's pips, because Ron Moore (the writer) wanted Barclay to be able to give O'Brien an order.

Ro and Tom could have shown up post Season 5 to continue the Maquis arc
Now I’m imagining Sela as any of the Romulans over the years…could Crosby have pulled of “ITS A FAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKEEEEEEE!” 🤔😉
Sela would be cool somewhere but not there, nor in place of Cretak. If I was gonna replace Cretak with someone it would have been maybe T'Rul.
Tasha might've been interesting, if she had lived.
Maybe she could have appeared in the Mirror Universe episodes
Pulaski
Thomas Riker
Ro Laren
Troi
Guinan

Not regulars, but Jellico and Shelby are two I would've liked to see on DS9
How do you feel about the idea Shelby was present but offscreen in "You Are Cordially Invited"?

Troi is the obvious choice in my opinion, as counselor she wouldn't have stepped on the toes of any other character and her and Worf's dynamic was fun (not the romantic stuff towards the end of TNG but the friendship they had before), they also could have used Alexander more.

How could she be? The wedding was held on short notice. I'd be surprised if anyone from outside the Bajor system was able to attend unless they had their own starship. Martok got himself and Sirella there because he was a Fleet Commander and RHIP, but why would Shelby want to even if someone owed her that big a favor?
