Spoilers Starfleet Academy Episode Preview Thread

Why would the Doctor do health checkups on new cadets in a classroom, though?

Just pulled up Ep 1 (just finished Season 1 of Wildcards).

When the Doctor scans Caleb you can see the cherry tree in the Atrium in the background, and the Wall of Rememberance being on the deck above them.

In the longshot after he scans Pickford. It looks like the classroom that Caleb appears in during the beaming prank, the lecturn is in the background.

There seem to be two classroom sets, the one with the tables around the perimeter, and the one with the lecturn (SAM has her music class in the latter, but later talks to Illa in the latter - the lecturn kme also seems to be the one SAM uses to view the Sisko Museum).

You're right though, the pic does look like its the same set as last week (even though it seems to be the lecturn classroom).

EDIT: Which now makes me wonder, do we only have four standing sets? The Atrium and corridors leading off it, the Bridge, Ake's Office/Quarters and the Cadet Quarters?

Interesting.

Could this be our first visit to Athena's Sickbay? If its effectively a bottle show, maybe some budget has been used to expand the Athena standing sets?
Man, there really is just a giant height difference between the male and female members of the main cast.

Shephard is 1.57, Diane is 1.88. It looks like Darem and Jay-Den are on the raised section that goes round the edge of the room and Genesis isn't, cos that doesn't look like 30cm.

Bella's 5'2", so that's a full foot difference between her and Karim.

Which looks about right for the scene.

COME, LET’S AWAY — During the cadets’ first training mission on an abandoned ship, they encounter a dangerous new enemy. As our cadets fight for survival, Nahla must risk everything to save them by seeking help from an unexpected, untrustworthy, source.

new ship, appears to be a modified Credence-Type, with no gap in the saucer section and possibly DSC Connie nacelles and pylons.

Looks like the ship is underwater, which would explain why there’s a sea vessel in this week’s episode.

It’s from pretty early in last week’s episode …

No idea why that would necessarily have anything to do with upcoming episodes.

Never mind. As someone who isn’t watching the show, I only see what people post about it here or on Facebook. Former member RAMA posted this pic on his page about this week’s episode but I probably misunderstood him.
