yeah, a character arc that mostly did not feel earned or just felt more like sending a message of who runs the show. Sometimes you can tell how good or bad a series is, if it begins to take you away from the in-universe.Subspace Rhapsody also dealt with character arcs that had been running through the season, such as Spock and Chapel relationship and La'an character development, among others.
Well, obviously I disagree.
One thing I would give buffy credit for, they knew how to do break ups that felt earned, emotional crushing to the soul and feel like you the audience also felt like you lost something and this is after the characters have been together for a good amount of time.
The Chapel and spock break up has none of this and was one of SNW misguided and silliest girl boss moments of the entire series. Seeing just how much we once used to revear Spock as a character in star trek lore, none of that was worth it for him to be dumped so publicly. I would say though that the Laan/Kirk dynamic in the musical stuff does not seem that bad now compared to season 3 Laan/Spock.
