Namely, "A stranger comes to town." Very Deep Space Nine of them. They really do the same story every episode![]()

I don't recall every episode of Sesame Street or Mr. Rogers being a nearly identical clone.Preschoolers NEED that sense of stability ... of predictability.
It gives them a sense of security.

Ironic that the show's mantra is "Discover. Grow." Doesn't seem like much discovery or growth going on with the stagnant story format.
Growing up with the various movies and shows I did I thought asteroids were going to be a bigger problem than they actually are.Get outta town, another asteroid!

Incidentally, the fifth Killer Tomatoes movie is supposed to come out next month. They still haven't finalized the release date or even released a proper trailer though, so I don't know if they've hit delays.

The opening crawl from that movie is particularly on-point here. It's just so OTT ridiculous, I had to post it.
Also, they don't so much "Boldly go" as "Boldly sit in the same room all the time."Ironic that the show's mantra is "Discover. Grow." Doesn't seem like much discovery or growth going on with the stagnant story format.
Ah, I wasn't even making out the "boldly go" part. The closed captioning was alternately interpreting it as "and we go" and "holy cow".Also, they don't so much "Boldly go" as "Boldly sit in the same room all the time."
So, I decided to watch that video on a lark, but only made it a minute or so into it before bailing. It's just so generic angry YouTuber. Within the first minute and a half you have these talking points:
Welcome to the Family, kids!
One of the comments trolled him with "I can't believe you're fighting with a preschool show and the preschool show is winning!"![]()

"Kurtzman's an idiot."
"How dare this children's show be so childish."
"I'm an author, but my self-published novel hasn't been released yet, but it's totally like True Star Trek, you know, the Berman era."
Yawn. It might be funny, if I hadn't predicted this sort of thing with my own joke posts throughout this thread. You could say this sort of thing was more inevitable than Thanos.
