Fair. I have a pretty good memory for such things but my wife is always wanting to rewatch the previous season of a streaming show to make sure she’s up to speed.

Way of the Warrior doesn't apply. It was not a season ending cliffhanger with a resolution in the season premiere, it was a 2-hour episode that opened the season.

That was a pretty good part 2. They might have rushed a few things, but it was action oriented and the pacing was really great. I'm really glad Spock came up with the solution for Batel, and it was an ingenious solution. The stuff with Erica was kind of confusing (She lost half her hand? It didn't really show) but we got a "I'm Erica Ortegas and I fly the Ship"" moment so that was cool.

I'm not going to spoil the next episode except for it takes place 3 months after the Gorn incident, and I wonder if they should have had Hegemony as a made for TV movie in place of Section 31 (Maybe airing it last year or January). The tonal shift from that episode to the second was a little jarring at first. I know with the little break and I did say that Part 2 felt a little rushed, having a movie event for that story might have been beneficial.

Part II did a good job of landing the story in a satisfactory manner. Might be one of the few times a Trek two-parter managed to keep both halves of the story on equal footing.

Just watched it in Southern CA. Quite a complex story worthy of another viewing or two. Soon!

I’ve never been a fan of using full names for ships. It’s just a mouthful. The USS Picasso would be fine.

I feel like this whole story would have been better if they just got permission from Disney to use the Xenomorphs. I just don’t get “Gorn” from them at all.

Enjoying the dynamic between Scotty and Carol Kane's character.
