‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Renewed for Fifth and Final Season

Doesn't really matter if TOS said it or not. SNW said it's the Flagship, so it's the Flagship. Considering the reverence towards the NX-01, I'm perfectly fine with The Enterprise always being the Flagship, if there's one currently in service. It retroactively pays respect to the NX-01, and I think that's great.

I get that you believe there is a link between SNW and TOS because CBS says so. With that said, it is still perfectly valid to point out that nowhere was it ever mentioned or even implied that this was the case in TOS. Kirk is just a Starfleet captain no different from any other (and so is Pike, for that matter), and the Enterprise is just one of twelve or so ships of its class. It's not a crime to point out retcons.

Kirk is a starship captain, a special type of command. Not every Starfleet captain gets it.

Kirk is special.

Bro, Why would she mention it? 😂
She was told to keep it secret....
To prove the message actually comes from her and isn't some Imperial plot to bring Obi-Wan Kenobi out of hiding.

Would work much better than:

"Years ago you helped my father in The Clone Wars..."

Pike is a seasoned veteran and one of the top Captains in the fleet. I can see why his ship might be designated the flagship. Kirk, as you say is just a young Captain with a career on the rise. So perhaps title flagship in his era has been given to a more experienced commander's ship. Since the Enterprise isn't the flagship under Kirk, why would it come up?

Wait ...what??? 😮 She is standing right there as a hologram saying the message. It's in an R2 unit that obi wan is familiar with. Sorry it works..the writers made it work and didn't contradict anything..it was a smooth piece of added backstory.

So. That doesn't mean he should cheat by dipping his pen in the company ink
Apparently he gets that 7 year itch scratched anytime he feels like it now.. 😂 And during duty hours.
If their engagement has been ended, he's free to dip his pen anywhere he likes.

It's never been established that recreational sex is impossible for Vulcans. The seven year thing is about reproduction.

Remind me when Spock and Chapel snuck off to have sex, while on duty.

They already have. They both had their duty uniforms on before they shed them and did the deed.

They were married and living together..different situation there. Spock didn't even go home first. Just went from walking around on duty with Chapel to Chapels bed.... 😁
No. They were both in uniform. Same rules apply. Marriage has nothing to do with it if the issue is being in uniform.

What???? Off duty Starfleet personnel wear their uniforms all of the time.
Indeed. Voyager made this a habit of off duty situations and everyone sitting around in their duty uniforms.

Kirk also was on duty and slept with one of the Scalosians. Naughty, naughty.

It was never mentioned or even implied that Spock had siblings until we got Sybok in 1989 and Michael in 2017, either.

Spock kept his family life private (or classified, as the case may be for Burnham.) Starfleet designating a ship as the flagship is not quite the same situation.
