‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Renewed for Fifth and Final Season

As for the ship it was not necessary to make Pikes Quarters as large as Ten forward
First, it's the Flagship of the Federation and commonly used to host various dignitaries. Pikes quarters make perfect sense, especially when you consider the ship having a crew only in the 200s.
or a turbo interior the size of the Enterprise D
If you're referring to the "turbolift funhouse "that was only seen in a Short Trek, I would imagine that was simply a reuse of a digital asset. It hasn't been seen since and it's best ignored.

There is no way that will happen.. Especially with long time fans. We will all be dead within the next 20-30 years. I know I won't be waxing nostalgia at 80 years old about the kurtzman era. Plus the new shows don't even get three seasons worth of episodes. Which means they will never have the impact the other shows had. SNW will have only two lousy seasons worth of episodes......with half of those being comedy bits.... 😂
By the next iteration, the fans from 2000s will be the longtime fans.
Since we're going "anecdotal" When I'm 80 (in 14 years) I'm sure I'll still like SNW.

Yes. That's their job. Roddenberry did it with TMP, Meyer did it with TWOK and TUC, and so on.

Who cares? It's not a competition. Star Wars is deeply entrenched fantasy storytelling using science fiction stylings and veneer. It's not Star Trek and isn't trying to be. The competition game is pointless.

This. The changes have always been there. Just now they're treated as signs of ill will be the producers.
So no relationship what do ever?

Which is why Spock was insulted as a sensible chuckle moment at the end of episodes?
Doesn't matter if it's not a competition. I'm just saying Stars wars has been tighter and more consistent. As for Spock and relationships
I never said he never had any. He denied himself one with Leila I think 6 years before THIS SIDE OF PARADISE. Then of course he had one with her when the spores influenced him. Then there was Zarabeth of course and again he was influenced by the time travel and reverted back to his ancestors more violent and hedonistic behaviors... 😂

Well of course. New younger fans will wax nostalgia over their first treks. It's only natural. And as I have said numerous times the last few years as much as I hate all the retconning and some of the really really weird decisions by those involved in these shows....I do like several episodes and much of the production values. Again Disco season 4 and especially 5 was a win for me. I really enjoyed it and put any of my misgivings on the back burner during that season. In fact I would put that season of Disco over anything that has been in SNW season 1 and 2.

Not sure why that means no chapel relationship. Assumptions abound.

Star Wars is only consistent on aesthetics and even the The Phantom Menace looked nothing like a Star Wars movie. Rogue One upended lore for poor characters. ROTS ruined Obi-Wan Kenobi.

It's not the most consistent unless the shallow look of things is all that matters.

Star Wars...consistent?:guffaw: in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series we find out Obi-Wan saved 8-year-old Leia Organa. and they spent a couple weeks together.

Amazing that she doesn't mention that in her personal message to him which R2-D2 plays in the original 1977 Star Wars film.

Yep very consistent.. oh wait...

Empire Strikes Back: Luke and Leia kiss twice.

Return of the Jedi: Leia has "always known" her and Luke were siblings. She also remembers her mom.

I don't recall TOS ever establishing that the NCC-1701 was the Federation flagship. That was first mentioned about the Enterprise-D in TNG. Which is another concept they took from that show rather than being consistent with TOS.

Rots did not ruin OBI Wan Kenobi... 😂....ROTS is actually my favorite Star Wars film. The aesthetics from the prequels are right on when with the previous films. I dont see what they got wrong.
In tpm its 20 years before. We have to remember we are dealing with Naboo and Courscant and the Senate. Not the rebels or the Empire. Tattooine was well done and spot on as well.

Oh I loved Rogue one as well. 😀

It could be the flag ship under Pike's command and not under Kirk's.

Phantom Menace looked incredibly Star Wars. Rogue One barely had any returning characters in for them to have their lore upended. Revenge of the Sith was a great movie for Obi-Wan Kenobi.

It's been more consistent than Star Trek has lately, including the look of things, which matters a great deal in a visual medium, especially for series where world building and design is so important that they actually sell books about it.

Nothing fits in The Phantom Menace to the rest of the aesthetic. It sticks out like a sore thumb and you can't convince me otherwise.

ROTS made Obi-Wan a liar, a murderer and a poor teacher. It absolutely ruined him for the OT.

I still recall leaving the theater after watching ROTS at a midnight showing and being so disappointed.

Not that they ever use the terminology for flag ship right.

Bro, Why would she mention it? 😂
She was told to keep it secret.

You are grasping here. It is nowhere on the level of Spock and Chapel taking morning sonic showers together after previously being portrayed as a couple that could never be. Unrequited love. Instead they have turned that into a some weird love triangle with Spock cheating on his betrothed.

Doesn't really matter if TOS said it or not. SNW said it's the Flagship, so it's the Flagship. Considering the reverence towards the NX-01, I'm perfectly fine with The Enterprise always being the Flagship, if there's one currently in service. It retroactively pays respect to the NX-01, and I think that's great.

I think it was also seen in S2, E1 of DSC
They were on a break!!!!!
He was having an emotional affair with Chapel long before the break...
