News Starfleet Academy Coming to P+

You will love it I promise. Then after finally learning their lesson they can beg the great Matalas to forgive them and finally let us have our Star Trek:Legacy show. Then we get a new Captain Kirk show were he is taken out of cold storage and becomes the Captain on the New Enterprise. He will often talk to a vision of his old self in William Shatner. Then it will be time for the new Janeway show they are talking about. Then a DS9 reunion movie that deals with Sisko's return from the Prophets. Everything is going to be looking good for us old school Trek fans.

Any effort to appeal to hard core/old school fans is not encouraging to me and makes me highly skeptical.

Let's hope it's made for the hardcore fans. If so it could end up being as good as PIcard Season 3,SNW and STAR TREK:ORVILLE

Either it is now Dominion policy to cheat at gambling and try to escape by turning into a very fast tribble or a member of the 100 hasn't made it back even by 3190.

Apparently Picardo confirmed directly (again? I swear he or someone else did already) on the Trek Talks live stream on the 5th that he is playing the original EMH not the backup or whatever, in Academy.

I'm not surprised, fans wouldn't have any real connection with the back up.

Plus it allows for a ton of character growth over the last 800 years.

Picardo said the time has shaped the character and influenced how he's portrayed in the series.

The Doctor's memories, since he's a computer program they don't fade, are as fresh in his mind as they were when they happened, and he said that effects the character.

Kurtzman seeing the Doctor in Prodigy is what made him think he'd work well in Academy

This doesnt mean we wont see or hear about the back up doctor unless he was destroyed during the burn. But maybe the burn made him want to head back to the Federation.
