What were the other two on Trek, then? An offhand mention of Thanksgiving or Christmas is hardly a holiday episode.
Yeah, TOS never did a Christmas episode, and no a flashback set on the same night as the Christmas party in Dagger of the Mind doesn't count. Indeed, Dagger of the Mind and Picard's Nexus fantasy in Generations are the closest the entire franchise has ever come to celebrating Christmas.

And yet, "Pretty Maids All in a Row" didn't inspire a four sequel franchise from Gene.

He also wrote "Catspaw," in which our dudes are held prisoner in a castle dungeon by a witch who turns into a black cat, and "What Are Little Girls Made Of," which is peppered with Lovecraft references.
Oh and a movie called Psycho.
And two middling book sequels in 1982 and 1990 which are anything but Norman-centric.Bloch wrote the novel that the movie was based on.
