There was Pliable Truths released last year. Branded as a TNG novel it tells the story of the Enterprise D's mission to Bajor just before the events of DS9's Emissary.I had hoped that the releases of Revenant and Shadows Have Offended was a sign that we might be getting more Berman era series novels, but those both came back in 2021 with nothing else since, so I guess that's looking unlikely at this point.
You keep a timeline too @DGCatAniSiri? Is it online anywhere?I was wondering where this fell in terms of Sulu departing for the Excelsior. Good to know for my timelining!
That is good to know, as I would think Sulu was still on the E-A then.No Saavik this time. It's a very Chekov-centric novel, so I wanted to play up his friendship with Sulu.

It varies. Looking over the 2024 thread, it was anywhere between eight months prior to three months prior. While IIRC, the coming SNW novel due out in April by James Swallow had its cover image released almost immediately when the novel was announced something like ten months prior to publication date,Generally when are cover images released in relation to the publication date?
While it's not a novel, I did stumble upon some 2025 David R. George III Trek writing: a 163-page ebook document called Depths of Forever. It is concerned with the landmark episode "The City on the Edge of Forever." It has no reviews so far on Amazon, so if anyone has read it, please share your thoughts.
Why does it vary so much?

It is a lost volume of the "Star Trek" episode monograph series, originally intended for release by Obverse Books. Only three of the planned series saw regular publication before the concept was axed.
I'm glad there's going to be another Strange New Worlds novel Ring of Fire by David Mack coming out in August.
