So refreshing to hear a perspective from the real world.Pretty sure SNW rolls along without Kurtzman. He's not all that involved with the day to day. What ever "delays" it might have would not be caused by a "vanity project."

Section 31 had nothing to do with the delay of SNW S3. You can blame the actor and writers strikes for that. SNW will release in the Spring/Summer because that's when the other seasons were released to great success. Two of those were cancelled and one was shelved for a year because he needed to work on his vanity projects.
Umm, everything in Hollywood (and Ontario Canada)was 'shelved' due to a WGA and SAG/AFTRA strike. Two of those were cancelled and one was shelved for a year because he needed to work on his vanity projects.

Reminds me of an exchange in MASH.Umm, everything in Hollywood (and Ontario Canada)was 'shelved' due to a WGA and SAG/AFTRA strike.

Picard actually got worse. (Yes that was possible)He's not involved with the day to day which is why it is good. A bit like Lower Decks. Or as soon as he fucked off from Picard.

Yeah, I disagree with those assessments. Funny what bringing back the original cast, yet making the same mistakes can do to change minds.Apart from the almost universal praise from fans and peers alike which lead to Kevin Fiege thinking "man, I think I should try to get the guy in charge of this show for one of my shows". Even YouTube channels that are set up to hate on stuff liked it. But the lads on here who think that having a show feel like and sound like Star Trek for once is bad.
Don't worry, this is the showrunner with Kurtzman for Starfleet Academy!

Another Star Trek Discovery spin off with this level of talent will be a sure fire hit, just like the last one.
In a wide-ranging interview with Feige, the Marvel boss briefly revealed that the entire reason he knows Terry Matalas is because he wanted to figure out who the person behind Picard Season 3 was. “That’s how I got to know him,” Feige says. “It was from his amazing [work on Picard Season 3. I said: This is incredible. I don't know how this exists. Let me find the person who made this.”
Indeed.Yeah, I disagree with those assessments. Funny what bringing back the original cast, yet making the same mistakes can do to change minds.
Was Fiege ever quoted as saying “get me the guy who made Picard Season 3!” Or is that assumption? Far as we know, Kurtzman recommended him for the job.![]()
Indeed.
Season 3 had same mistakes as other projects but fans insist it feels like Star Trek.
It does; Star Trek Picard and Discovery.
In my opinion, Feige should go for the writer of hit TV shows like "Tom Swift" and "Tau" to helm his shows.
Little did he knows, Nerys Myk and the crew on here want time travel to LA to do a half hearted social commentary over STARFLEET and FEDERATION starships in space doing STARFLEET stuff.
See I loved seasons 1 and 2. They had stories I enjoyed and tasteful cameos. Then they caved to social media fansPicard actually got worse. (Yes that was possible)
Both. Star Trek is a big tent concept. It contains multitudes. It should not be put in a cage of preconceptions and restrictions. It you think “Star Trek” is about pretty SFX of ships in space and not character driven drama, then I would say you don’t know Star Trek.Which one is more STAR TREK to you
or
Is it one with the weird musical number in the 21st Century or the starship leaving stardock to a traditional Star Trek score
You must be a big hit at the county fairs.No. I don't have that kind of patience. I'm more of a "shit or get off the pot" kind of guy.
