With an “e”, it becomes canine. Which is the joke. Just a simple joke.
Making fun of my spelling error. If I had spelled "canine"it would have made sense. But I didnt spell canine. He just doesnt like my opinion so hes picking on me for no reason.

Sometimes people are trying to engage with you, and you make it incredibly hard.
My wife and I gave up after season three. We didn't like Michael and the new storyline.
The canon is simply the body of work. How well one piece of it seems to fit together with the other pieces or not has no bearing on its canonicity. That's more a matter of continuity.
I think it's kind of a joke to be using a lofty literary/religious word like "canon" with ephemeral pop culture in the first place, anyway.

What is it about all three that doesn't allow them to flow, in your opinion?Well to put it simply nothing fits anynore. Anyone unfamilar with star trek watching STD , SNW and TOS chronologically from stardate or in story earth year would not see them flow as a natural story or even seem in the same decade. It was poorly done.
Discovery to SNW flows to TMP better than TMP did from TOS. Everything else was just papered over by fans and their timelines. What is it about all three that doesn't allow them to flow, in your opinion?
DIS to SNW seems to flow quite well, as the actors help there. I think that SNW to TOS can be made to work if the will is there behind the scenes.
Burnham was drummed out of the service and was incarcerated following her conviction. She was essentially serving an equivalent term in prison to a soldier in the US Army at Leavenworth convicted of a similar crime. You commit the crime while part of the service, you serve your time in a military prison.Yeah. She started out getting court martialed and for all intents and purposes should have been drummed out of star fleet. Later everyone compliments her all the time like shes the greatest captain ever. She knocked out her captain unconscious. How is that even forgiven?
You mean in a visual sense? I don't quite know the ending of SNW, although I can attempt to guess, but you probably need TOS(maybe TAS too) to give the audience an idea of who the TMP characters are. The movies lacked a lot of decent character moments, beyond the great trio, of courseDiscovery to SNW flows to TMP better than TMP did from TOS. Better how?No joke. Its just opinions. It is what it is. If they make it an alternate reality for sure one day it will be a lot better for the new shows and what came before. Nothing wrong with having two universe tv treks.

They might make some TOS-style changes here and there, since its getting close to the 60th. Its certainly not impossible. Continuity/canon suggests that there needs to be an interior overhaul for the increased crew size. I'm guessing Kirk won't want a kitchen...SNW to TOS might be but they need to tighten character backgrounds and stories more. The visual is closer than STDs. I hope they get the look of the enterprise closer to TOS by series end. They can givevus thensane dimensions etc but they can tweak the TOS look by making the drywalls look shiny porcelain and add animations to the screens as well as getting rid of the window.

The trouble is, the show may not last long enough to reach TOS anyway. Not without some kind of time jump.
So long as they understand they're watching television shows made across half a century, I'm sure they'll be okay.Well to put it simply nothing fits anynore. Been a Trek fan for most of my 40 years on this Earth. I started with TOS and adore it to this day. Not a week goes by that I don't watch at least a couple episodes.STD and SNW just dont meld will with TOS or the Berman era shows.
When?At times SNW feels like its more advanced than TNG.
Such as?Beyond that tons of other canon violations.
I think most people in the general population can accept that a show made today isn't going to look line a show produced in the 60's.Anyone unfamilar with star trek watching STD , SNW and TOS chronologically from stardate or in story earth year would not see them flow as a natural story or even seem in the same decade.
