Is it worth watching Disc?

I'm rewatching DISC for the third time, its my personal challenge to watch all five seasons, I can never make it past season 2.

I would suggest like any other show or movie watch it for yourself. Relying on the opinions of others for something you have never seen is similar to refusing to eat something on a menu because of what some stranger you will never meet thinks of it.

Yep. Try for yourself and make up your own mind instead of looking for a consensus that doesn't exist to tell you what to do. It's just a TV series, for crying out loud. It's not a great effort or a risk to your health. Just keep in mind that each season of the show is significantly different from the others. You may like some and not others. Watching the first couple of episodes of the first season won't tell you much about whether you'll like any of the others.

I've watched the show up through S3's midpoint but it was a sludge to get to that point.

I'm not sure why. The acting is fine, the drama is fine, the action is excellent, the characters are engaging but for some reason the show just hasn't clicked for me.

I've been reluctant to watch Discovery since... well, since I was made aware of its existence. I've heard some pretty bad things about it, but I've also heard people only hate it because it's new. I've recently been considering giving it a try, though. Is it actually any good/worth watching?

I watched it all and kept hoping it would get better. It never really did. The last season was watchable but still pretty forgettable. Rumor is the show is no longer canon to tos and prime trek. It makes sense since the kurtzman treks dont really fit with earlier trek at all.

While I can understand it’s not everyone’s cup of Tarkelian tea, I never understood all the Discovery hate; it felt blown out of all proportion. All I know is I stuck with the show til the end, which is not something I can say about Voyager and Enterprise. It was the first time I looked forward to weekly Trek since DS9.

I don’t have any desire to rewatch it mind you, but I’m the same with all post-DS9 shows.

One cancelled, ended show made a gag about another cancelled, ended show and YouTube grifters suddenly had something outrageous-sounding to tell gullible fools again.
Well i never considered that silly star trek show canon since its futurama silly but the powers that be consider it canon so they left a door open for future show runners to make the std universe non canon from the prime universe one day. They really should do that and just make their own universe now. STD and SNW just dont meld will with TOS or the Berman era shows.

So what? Discovery was intriguing the first few seasons, then became kind of touchy-feely rote the rest of the way if memory serves. Although I enjoyed the aliens in the Spielberg-Close Encounters style season.

It just does not fit in with tos at all. Its a prequel to it and after The Cage. SNW while a far superior show still follows what STD set up. At times SNW feels like its more advanced than TNG. Beyond that tons of other canon violations.

Canin violations. I can only presume that you mean that poor dogs are getting hurt.

Edit: Of course you edited your post. Shows I should have quoted you from the get go.

2nd Edit: This is the difference between you and I. I admit when I fuck up and get called out on it. You change history.

What does "canin" have to do with dogs? I made a spelling error earlier. So what?
