....
This series gets into REALLY deep cuts... like the Ronald B. Moore reference. He was listed as a comedian in "The Outrageous Okona", who in turn was named after one of the visual effects supervisors of TNG. (In fact, if memory serves me, he's one of only maybe half a dozen people who worked the ENTIRE time of the Berman era... from "Encounter at Farpoint" to "THESE ARE THE VOYAGES...". ALL 18 years.) No matter what anyone can say, the writers of this series TRULY know the franchise. They've hit pretty much every angle () of the franchise with references, callbacks, etc.
....
I was wondering if anyone else caught this. Ronald B. Moore was the name on the holodeck control screen when Data generated the stand-up comedian played by Joe Piscopo. I'm glad that this guy was a famous enough comedian from Trek's timeline's 1980s that people in the 24th Century still remember him.

The more I rewatch this. The more i utterly am disgusted at T'ana's behavior.
Through the whole franchise she's hurled insults and vitrol at Everyone. Everyone. She's served with Boimler to know the kid is neurotic but generally respectful. The Moment she gets cufrsed at, switch flips hyper aggressive.
I have lived experiance with people who can and will hurl thunder and damndnation at everyone, but gets bent out of shape and borderling physical if they get so much as nudged in return.
And the command crew has done nothing but enable this behavior off of her.
SquAaron looks like a diaper.
Yes, I understood something like “Kirk dealt with Zeus”. Either freeman was wrong and mixed him up with Apollo or there is an untold tale here.Just watched the episode. Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention, but did Captain Freeman say that the Enterprise met Zeus? Didn't they meet Apollo?

Either she doesn't know how to, or saw that what she tried in the conference room was a good idea, but trying to use her polluxian heritage when she barely knew what she was doing was stupid... so used waht she DID know. That is to say:What? The demigoddess stops a fight in outer space... without a giant hand?
Oh, is that where her name comes from?Olympians?
Likely, given the spelling. Olympia? Olympic? Etc etc. Funny she went with that rather than her mother's maiden name. Maybe they didn't want to confirm her being Palmer's kid? Also if she's Palmer's kid in this universe? She's 120ish.Oh, is that where her name comes from?
Considering everyone else is on a last name basis for the most part. I suspect Olympia is her last name. kinda hard to blend in when there's a literal gold laurel crown fused to your head. Still. I expect before this point she's been terrified of fully being out with it, playing it off as 'nah I have n opowers i just got gaudy headwear out of it what no? I'm totally not being a dumbass just to point and laugh at everyone...'Carolyn Palamas.
Olly's retaining a bit of her heritage while not wholly owning it. "Olympia" may be her first name, Olly for short, or she's "____ Olympian" (technically, her last name on the "god" side)
