When they first saw that the ships communicate by light, it was visible, IIRC
Invisible light would be radio

Or infrared. Which would make sense, as many reptiles and other animals on Earth can see in that range of the light spectrum.

That would be 2246, and Governor Kodos disappeared after the massacre on Tarsus IV. Besides, as someone already said, Kirk was on Tarsus at the age of 13 so it wouldn't work out.

Going by averaged episode scores, folks on TrekBBS liked season 1 more, IMDb voters preferred season 2, but for both the difference was so microscopic that they're pretty much rated the same. I don't know if there's been a poll asking people to pick their favourite.

Season 2 was a hell of a lot better than season 1, and season 1 was already pure awesome.

Personally I think the current count hits fine, just wish there was a little more filler. I'm in love with the cast.

I would generally agree. Tight stories told in a shorter timespan without mind-numbing filler seems to work well, but maybe with a friendly addendum that the hiatus between seasons not be quite so long.

The only reason it’s so long between 2 and 3 is because of the writers strike.

Seasons 1 and 2 was only a year.
