I mean, they put Picard season 3 in theaters for a very limited run. I could see them doing the same with an actual movie.

But the movie is premiering on a Friday, when Thursdays have been the night for new ST since 2017. Plus, Yeoh is an Oscar winner... that could be a draw for some audiences. Paramount might decide on a limited run.

Because of these two factors, I'd give it a 50/50 chance of it happening.

I'm not convinced that a S31 movie that no one wants and has had overwhelmingly negative word of mouth will bring in the views.
