No wonder he was already a midlife crisis advertisement poster by his 52nd birthday in TWOK. He spent much of the previous twelve years like this.

Ron Moore:
"It's always one of those things that is in the back of my mind. It'd be fun to go back and do something again before my career is over. It's in such good hands, you know, they've been doing a great job with it. So they don't need me, but it would be fun to go do something eventually."
Do it Kurtzman! Let Moore create a new Star Trek series.
And quite a bit before.Let Moore stick with For All Mankind until it’s done. That’s a show that beats the shit out of any Star Trek produced from DSC onwards.
Especially late-1940s Gregory Peck. Ethan could practically double for his grandfather in The Keys of the Kingdom or Spellbound.I know, right? Plus, in some pics, I can really see the resemblance to his grandfather.
People can change in 5 years.
It was brilliant. It had no business being a musical.![]()
If Subspace Rhapsody is wrong, I don't wanna be right. One of my favourite episodes of Trek ever made. The fact they pulled it off, and they did, is a testament to strength of everyone on that production. It had no business being a musical.![]()
It was brilliant.
Heh. I don't want a sequel. But... I would like to see the balls and the skillz it would take to make a SERIES.It was OK. It wasn't awful. Some parts were just downright silly. But overall it was an interesting idea that I hope they don't follow up on, or suddenly decide that the fans now need an entire series like that.

Aaron Eckhart is about the right age and look. Most importantly, he has done television is recent years. He's a recognizable face, but also isn't a huge A-list star, so you could probably get him for a decent price.Who would be a good "Hey it's THAT GUY!" casting for Daddy Kirk?
You’re entitled to your opinion. It was a musical.
And it was great.
Not OMWF, but still brilliant.
Other than Roger Korby we haven't heard of any legacy characters.
