I’m confused also by how Deadpool was in the MCU timeline and able to apply to be an Avenger. Or did his own TL have its own Avengers and a Happy Hogan who looked like MCU Happy?

He skipped Earth's. Said so onscreen. He went from his, to 616, then back again to.... forget his number.

He used Cable's device to get there, you see it on his wrist. Now, he would have had to get it modified to be able jump universes, but they don't mention how or when that happened.

@Christopher In one of your DTI novels you went a bit into the concept of traveling through time being the same as traveling through different universes, or something along those lines? It's been ages, I'm probably quite wrong.
Could you clarify what your thoughts were again?

If Elektra saw Happy, would she point out that he's a Foggy variant? Which means the MCU has TWO Foggy variants, what with Elden Henson as well!

Not only do I love the fact that Jon Favreau has appeared on screen with both cinematic Daredevils, I also love that the two characters that he has played for Marvel are sidekicks named "Foggy" and "Happy".

It occurs also that given the extreme comic violence in the film, a Punisher variant would not have gone amiss. Dolph Lundgren or Thomas Jane. Sadly, I think Ray Stevenson (Volstagg in the MCU of course) died too early for filming.
Well, the Punisher did get a shout out and this guy from Cassandra's army of goons was "The Russian", and he was a villain in Thomas Jane's Punisher movie.

Oh good catch, I didn’t get that at all

Tony Stark was originally written to appear in the 2016 scene with Happy. It basically played out the same, just with the two them sharing the lines.

Also very very early on in the writing process they had all the Avengers there, but they knew that would probably be impossible, didn't make it to the screenplay phase.

So, just how long have they known that RDJ was going to return as Doctor Doom?

Just seen it - Saw it on Dolby Cinema which is now my favourite format - really enjoyed it.

They entirely lean into doing over the top comic book action and it works. Also loved how they mocked the multiverse concept.

Great to see Blade again!

The bizarre thing is, outside of Loki and Dr Strange 2 and Ant-Man 3....there hasn't even BEEN any Multiverse stuff. So why are they mocking something that's barely been touched on to begin with?

The Loki show was well received any people LIKED the Multiverse stories in there.

Spider-Man was also multiverse even if he didn't leave, others certainly came.

The Marvels ended with a character in another multiverse, but it wasn't obviously a major element of the movie.

Meanwhile over at DC, the Flash was multi-versal which contributes to the over exposure of the concept, even if it isn't Marvel
