I was spoiled on Elektra weeks before the movie came out, and I got spoiled on the Cavill-rine literally the night before I was going to see the movie thanks to a YouTube thumbnail that somehow made it to the top of my recommendations.

Human Torch, Blade and Gambit were all very pleasant surprises for me.

For me, I liked the fight sequence with the Honda Odyssey. Otherwise, I felt meh about the film. I know the last comic book movie I enjoyed was GotG3, and that was because it got me through a difficult time in my life.

Marvel released the official recording of the Deadpool Corps' performance of "Like a Prayer" at Comic-Con:

A+ from me. Because while it was exactly what I expected in terms of being a funny, raunchy, and absurd movie... there was a surprising amount of heart.

And I really appreciated it basically closing out several of the older universes and giving some important but overlooked characters a chance to shine. Do I wish Blade had his coat and Johnny got to do more? Sure, but I was glad for what we did get, and I wanna know how many fans were expecting Steve Rogers and were shocked because they didn't know about his Johnny Storm.

I still really want Dafne Keen's Laura to be the MCU Wolverine, even moreso now I think.

And I really enjoyed Channing Tatum's Gambit - the outfit was just as ridiculous as it should have been, but his accent and power usage were perfect.

I've seen criticism of Emma Corrin's Cassandra Nova but... I dunno. I thought she was pretty delightful - evil and twisted, charismatic in a dark disturbing way. Granted she basically stopped being a character in the final act but I thought she was pretty masterfully done before that.

So any theories as to why there are so many Deadpool variants in the Void? I think during Loki when first introduced to the Void we saw several Loki variants, but it was just a handful.

There's not a hundred Spider-man, Wolverine, Captain America, etc... variants. For some reason it's Deadpool.

My personal theory is that all Deadpool's are able to 4th wall break and may have been intentionally targeted by the TVA because they have the ability to potentially see outside their own timelines/universe.

A

That was a blast :D So much for the filmed getting toned down under Disney! Hugh has never been better as Wolverine. The dialog they come up with for Deadpool, along with the delivery, is just insane  I had no idea about the Blade, Cavill, or Human Torch cameos so they were all awesome surprises. Chris Evans was a trip. Loved seeing Blade again. Casandra Nova was an actual villain! No ambiguity here, just a great baddie and creepy as fuck. Gambit was perfect. Always hated that character but this portrayal was really fun. As mentioned earlier in the thread despite all the violence, language, etc, it still has a bunch of heart. I do hope they can get X23 in the MCU proper. I'm going to have to do some digging to see who and what I missed cameo-wise. The film has me giggling hours after seeing it. You really can't ask for more.

That was an old shot of Thor holding Loki, reused, right?

I honestly don't know.... During the shot, for a second I thought it wasn't Chris but Liam.
EDITED: If you check this trailer, at 8 to 9 seconds in, we see Thor's face. Is that Channing??

Looks like they just snagged footage (used or unused) from The Dark World and CG'd in the vertical scar.

Yup, it was reported even before the film came out that Chris Hemsworth would appear via archival footage from The Dark World.
