Are there good YA shows on the CW? I thought their niche was sophomoric stuff pitched at young people (at least up until their recent rebrand).

They're trying for the CW audience with SA, so this seems like a good fit.

You mean the Nancy Drew that got four seasons.

Cherry picking from her resume, but ignoring the fact she wrote fifteen episodes of The Magicians (which is probably more in line with what people want from Academt), and was a co-producer of See.

REAPER was awesome back in the day. And VERONICA MARS was a holdover from UPN.
"The 100" was relatively OK for a CW show
Yeah they very quickly ditched the stereotypical CW YA tropes within the first 3-4 episodes. It took risks and wasn't afraid to kill off opening credits characters left and right and replace them. The ending is very... woo however. Almost LOST / BSG level.
iZombie was one of the best genre shows of the 2010's.
Never seen it, but would be open to trying it out based on Rob Thomas of the aforementioned VM being the showrunner.

That all said, the CW model proved to be unsustainable. It was all propped up by a deal Netflix likely regretted, and who knows how much damage those Berlanti shows did to the DC brand.

A) Those are her two latest projects
B) These are shows she created and was the showrunner of, not just a writer or has a producer credit

Noga Landau seems to be someone who might make a passable tv show but I would really love Trek to actually hire someone who has a track record of doing GREAT tv. Not just someone who made two CW shows. One is known as being terrible. They other one known for being, just okay. Also for them hire someone with a long track record in Sci-Fi would be great. Why not someone like Ron Moore,Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse, etc. Someone who really excites you as a fan that they are going to be creating and heading a new Trek.

Last time I had that I ended up disappointed.

I'd rather just watch the damn show and ignore the production teams credits. Producers can do great work, and they can do shit work. Joe Johnston is one of my good to examples, with Captain America: The First Avenger being one of my favorite films, and Jurassic Park III being one I'd rather ignore.

The show should excite me, not the production team.

Didn't they try that with Bryan Fuller?
