Klingon Restaurant on DS9

Guess it shuddered after tensions w/the Doms began to rise.

I liked the owner; I wish DS9 had included the restaurant all the way thru

Balls of steel to remain open when your Empire is at war with the Federation. Which means staying open would be a very Klingon thing to do!

Left over from the old Culinary Caste, from before the Warrior Caste took over....

TNG? A few episodes here and there. I'm more about DS9 and TOS, with some Discovery and Strange New Worlds more recently.

How many people adopted as babies into a very different culinary culture from their birthplace have you known?

It probably shuddered when the Khitomer accords were revoked by Gowron.

I would think when they were reinstated, the Restuarant would have come back. You had so many Klingons on the station during the dominion war one would think the Klingon Restaurant would have been the place to be on the promenade. We should have seen Dax and Worf eat there at one point.

Okay cool, It was established in TNG that Worf's adoptive mother had to learn to do some Klingon cooking in an effort to connect with Worf early on.

Not sure how personal experience is relevant to fictional writing?

Just to expand on my answer above, the restaurant did not leave when we stopped seeing it...it's mentioned in five out of seven seasons.

Bashir and Melora go there in season two. (As well as one other sighting and two mentions.)
Jake and Leanne plan a date there in season three.
Odo mentions it in season four.
Worf, Dax, and Kira leave Quark's to go there in season five.
Kira and Odo go there in season six.

If a suspected and later proven obsidian order member was allowed to stay the whole time I don't see why the klingon federation hostility would cause him to leave. Maybe when the dominion took over he left with the other civilians and came back

Garak was decoding Cardassian messages for the Federation and helping the Federation's war effort in many other ways. Of course Sisko didn't want him to leave.
