So I'm wondering why the aliens didn't think Chapel was the one who needed repair and made her Vulcan? Maybe they thought Spock was damaged because he diverted the shields to Chapel?

I really like Chapel. I know it's not TOS Chapel but I can accept that. I Like T'Pring also. Too bad that it doesn't work out. I'll give this one a 7/10.

TOS also had Doomsday machines,Klingons,Atavachrons etc.
It’s a show about a spaceship and a literal galaxy of possibility. It’s frustrating to see cutesy farce episodes pandering to the ‘shipping’ crowd.
You failed to quote properly.

This season has had serious episodes too.

Spock was actually injured. They assumed Chapel was the correct version.

I hate comedy in Star Trek. Gene knew not to put comedy into a serious dramatic series. Then these young upstarts came along and started making comedy episodes, not hard hitting dramas that made you miserable while watching. If anyone has fun with their Star Trek, they're not true trekkies, and by god I will complain for years on this subject until everyone hates my posts and I finally feel justified in my belief that Star Trek has lost its way.

Is there any indication in Amok Time that T'Pring is undergoing Pon Farr?

The fact they're exactly the same age, she's confirmed her own mate, and she's displaying uncharacteristic psychotic behavior just like Spock?

(And it's uncharacteristic because Spock doesn't seem to hold it against her and we've seen "Normal" T'Pring now.)

But once it was established that female Vulcans also suffer Pon'Farr, it became pretty easy to extrapolate that they have it the same time as their arranged mates.

Something's not adding up. How come T'Pring gets her first pon farr at 37 (or at 30 if she relieved it with Stonn) and T'Pol at 60 something?

So, the aliens left the "calling card."

Pike calls them and they're pretty much "you have no reason to contact us, we helped you, bye!" and then stop accepting calls.

When Chapel and co. are there the one they talk to acts as if it's odd or late for them to lodge their complaint. But, I mean, in their initial call Pike doesn't quite flat-out say the problem but he also seems to be trying to a First Contact approach while the aliens take a CSR call approach.

"Spock doesn't seem to hold it against her" Part of her plan (that works) is that Spock DOES hold it against her if he's the one who survives. Because if he didn't hold it against her she would "have your name and your property, and Stonn would still be there."

I doubt the ENT writers said "Hey, you know Sturgeon clearly meant for T'Pring to be as out of her mind as Spock." They just decided "Hey, Vulcan!"

And I don't think we've seen "normal" T'Pring anymore than we've seen "normal" Christine Chapel. They're not trying to make the characters the same. Which is fine.

I haven't seen this episode in awhile because I find it offensive on several levels but, did they say it was her first pon farr? From what I remember, she was upset it was happening 'early' meaning it hadn't been 7 years since the last one but I'm not sure.

But then T'Pol is not married? How did she relieve previous pon farrs? With Koss? So if she can sleep with Koss and not marry him, why didn't T'Pring just do the same with Spock? There's a whole continuity mess here that I'm seeing if we're establishing that T'Pring was going through Pon Farr during Amok Time

I always thought Spock wants to relieve Pon Farr with T'Pring because she's his girlfriend but that it just needs to be sex with a vulcan. Plus there's the whole 'oh no, I nearly hurt Jim and then pon farr stopped' thing, which suggests that...ahem...strong emotions can stop it. It doesn't have to all agree. Pon farr may be experienced differently by different vulcans at different ages just like puberty or menopause.

It doesn't need to be sex with a Vulcan. Vorik wanted to sleep with Torres I think. In theory now going by what we've seen this week, heck Chapel probably would've "helped" Spock out in Amok Time if she knew his life was in danger. But maybe Spock didn't want to cheat on T'Pring any more than he had already, and that's why he flipped out and threw the plomeek soup in the hall etc.
