Certainly weren't in TOS.I am loving the show. Really. But I do hope this is a “strange new world”. Not a lot of those IMHO.
Dear God, I hope not.The MillEnterprise D blowing up the Borg Star is the future of Trek.
New doesn't sell lads.

Despite it supposedly being the franchise's party line, we didn't actually see very many "new" planets in TOS. Okay, by virtue of being the first series, they were all new to the audience, but a majority of the time the planets they went to were either known or already visited by someone from Earth/the Federation. There really isn't very much actual exploration done in Star Trek.
We barely know anything about Rigel VII outside of the Cage, so it's essentially new.But I do hope this is a “strange new world”
Indeed, yes. I expect more of the same.New doesn't sell lads.

Voyager and Enterprise more so than TNG. TNG still had quite a bit of pre-explored/contacted planets. Even then, since Voyager was about getting back home, that means Enterprise was the only series purely about exploration for its own sake. And they abandoned that premise in the third season. This is a good point! TNG, VOY, and ENT probably have the most "strange new worlds" stuff happening in them...
Don't you shipper porn?I'm just hoping for decent ship porn
