Carol Kane was an odd casting choice. I mentioned earlier in the episode review thread that I see her and I think about her role in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I wasn’t annoyed with the character but it will take a little bit to get used to her.

Carol Kane?!? Latka's wife from Taxi? Miracle Max's wife from The Princess Bride? Science fiction may be terra incognita to her, but characters who speak with strange accents certainly aren't.

Goldsman chimes in on this point and makes it clear we won’t be seeing the monster Discovery Klingons anytime soon. “Henry is very polite. I worked on Discovery and I’ll just say, it’s nice to have those Klingons in the rearview mirror.”

About the Klingons

Isn't there one of the Discovery Klingons in one of the crowd scenes on planet though? Pretty sure I saw one off in the background. Which is cool because, you know, lots of different physical types makes the universe an interesting place, right? Also. I liked the look of the Disco Klingons.
