Honestly with the ongoing WGA strike, Paramount losses as detailed at
Paramount Streaming Subscribers, Losses Grow in First Quarter – The Hollywood Reporter , AND the possibility of actors/directors strikes at the end of June, when all is said and done I'd honestly just up and cancel the Starfleet Academy show and greenlight Star Trek Legacy. We all know things in the film business are in huge upheaval now. I'm probably the fiercest critic of Picard Season 3 there is, feeling it overly relies on nostalgia, cliches and tired plots but in the end that was bringing in the viewers and if I were Kurtzman or a Paramount executive I'd squash Academy and, if there must be another live action Trek alongside Strange New Worlds, greenlight Legacy immediately.
