On one hand it's nice he was alive and to see him, but on the other hand the whole kinda "and we found out that many of the replaced were kept alive for information." seemed like something Cobra would have done in GI Joe because they didn't want to have kids seeing the replaced Joe's were killed after being replaced by doppelgangers or something.
"This is what happened... offscreen'.

NX Enterprise - 225 meters
1701 - 288.6 meters
1701-A - 305 meters
1701-B - 511.25 meters
1701-C - 526 meters
1701-D - 642.5 meters
1701-E - 685.7 meters
1701-F - 1061 meters
1701-G - 560 meters
1701-H -
1701-I -
1701-J - 3219 meters

What’s the odd one out? :)

Honestly I’m fine with the E-G being the size it is.
Being important doesn’t mean having to be “the most”.

Having slept on it, I still find the episode satisfying. Was it perfect? No not at all. Was it the best Trek since DS9 ended? Also no.

was it good enough given the time and budget? IMO yes more than enough

That’s true. Season 4 of Enterprise was vastly better

Isn't the 1701 442 meters?
On another note, I find it kinda weird if the 1701 is only just slightly longer than the NX-01

Just saw the finale and wow... This was one of the most enjoyable hours of Trek I've seen in years... I gave it a 9. I laughed. I cried. It was just amazing. And I'm elated they didn't have a "coolant leak in engineering; warp core breach in five minutes" after the first hit. This is how the Galaxy Class was meant to be. Long-lived, strong, fit to serve for a century. It even survived Deanna at the helm again.

The one and only complaint I have is the G. I'm just beside myself about that. The Shangri-La redress is a magnificent fan creation -- a good design for a background vessel or for STO... but it's not an Enterprise. Even in the show, the ship was depicted as small and weak and very far from best that Starfleet had to offer. It would have been a better decision to refit and recommission the Enterprise-D (maybe add a third nacelle for Admiral Riker...)

A possibility for you all.

The Enterprise isn’t the flagship anymore. I don’t understand the insistence that it must absolutely always be. It wasn’t in Kirks time, for example.

Maybe expand your possibilities to include that

Is it ever stated on screen what the actual official size of the Enterpriseclassic is before Disco?

We see a scale briefly on a display in TOS which points at about 290 meters. We see another in TUC which has it at about 300 in Refit/Constitution II form

But an overt exposition of “This ship is 290 meters long”? No

The designers made it a point that the saucer for the NX was the same size as the 1701 and hence why it’s only slightly shorter

I don't see any people insisting that. If there are any, it ain't many.

I never said it needed to be the flagship -- or even a flagship. But it's always been a capital ship. Constitution, Excelsior, Ambassador, Galaxy, Sovereign... Enterprises are not support vessels.
