This is the first time in a while I'm really excited for a Finale. Unfortunately I probably can't post in this thread because the Finale is airing early in theaters and the mods are refusing on having a bit of common sense compromise. There's probably going to be spoilers like 5 hours before it actually airs on P+.

Is everyone excited? I'm excited. I know I expect copious amounts of excessive good things but I'm all-in now.

I think Redjac...I mean the Borg will be defeated by that most fragile of things: humanity.

I'm excited! I haven't been this excited about Star Trek since the old startrek.com/trekweb days - where we spent hours bickering about Berman/Braga and politics.

My how things have changed.

I'm looking forward to the reactions and reviews to this :)

Personally, I had some of this spoiled to me a few weeks back. It made me change my stance on wanting more from 90s era Trek. I think this finale effectively closes the book on it in a satisfying manner.

Now Kurtzman can pursue Starfleet Academy, Section 31, the Cartoons and other projects involving versions of the characters not carried over from 90s Trek.

This is our Avengers Endgame, and honestly a continuation of this timeline could just undermine this ending.

It's probably for the best that 'Star Trek Legacy' is not happening. Nu Trek can forge it's own new path forward instead of trying to recapture the magic of what has come before.

Ah, thanks. Same Picard face, very similar other faces, a barely visible Titan, a mostly hidden cube, and a D with overglowing deflector and bussards. Not worth going to the Grove just for that :D

IMAX showings on the west coast start at 1815 pacific. Assuming they show ep9 straight away then people would start discussing 10 a good 4 to 5 hours prior to streaming release. Should be fun here tonight.
3 h, and without pictures I guess

So much time was wasted on the first two seasons. The old Gang is back and even the Enterprise-D. Now that things are finally getting interesting, the series is over.:(

I gotta nitpick this. It technically can’t be a waste of time because S3 couldn’t have existed on its own. Stewart wouldn’t have done it.

If you want to say that S1 and 2 were a waste of your time, that’s another matter.

Guys. How the fuck did this happen?!? Season 3 is thee best Trek in decades. It's just plan amazing from start to finish. Wtf is going on. New writers?!??? Someone fill me in cuz they lost me in s1 post synth body Picard and I completely skipped season 2. But I was blown the fuck away by this season. It's literally peak Trek IMHO. I haven't watched Trek this great since I got into Deep Space 9 when I was addicted to oxycontin out of high-school (don't worry, been sober for forever now minus the occasional joint).

I'm disappointed no one's posted spoilers yet.

"They should have common sense and not post them!" Yeah, yeah. I understand how and why people would feel that way... but I'm not one of them. ;)

That makes two of us. The spoilers determine if I'm going to watch the dang thing or not!
