I had forgotten about that Bolian! Good catch!
All true, hence my "if they could have gotten Brooks back".Avery Brooks isn't coming back. He gave us a good Sisko, but I get the impression he never even wanted the job to begin with. I read somewhere he basically gave a flat, monotone audition for the Emissary hoping to fail it, then ironically got the part because Sisko *was* supposed to be flat and monotone because he's still bitter about Wolf 359. And once the part was offered to him, Brooks wasn't going to say no to the job stability and money a Trek lead role had to offer. But I heard he still had his costars call him "Mr. Brooks", he never got close to them the way the TNG cast ended up being buddies, and while sci-fi also isn't Patrick's thing, he's basically a workaholic and welcomes the opportunity to work with his TNG friends again.
Sometimes I wonder if in the long run it would be better if Sisko were played by another actor like Phil Morris or someone.
That Bolian appeared to have only 3 fingers. Are we sure that was a Bolian?
(He is blue, and he does have that slit down the center of his head. But Bolians gave always been shown to have 5 fingers.)
Since Jack is a transmitter, they find a way to boost his signal and have him win a psychic fight with the Borg Queen. Maybe Picard dies, maybe he doesn't, but it's the fairly obvious solution.Maybe the ships musical notes are a message from Jack.
Maybe Picard will have to become Locutus again.
For once, I am finding it fairly hard to predict how they will get out of this pickle.
O’Brien on space dock with some transporter magic?
Q junior?
Seven, Raffi, and Shaw, Seven having part borged them to move un-noticed and save Shaws bacon?
Maybe Picard "dies," maybe he doesn't...
Tellarites are frequently shown to have different numbers of fingers as well. It's a running change in the depiction that depends on the production team and I guess in-universe to which bloodline, ethnicity or clan the Tellarite belongs.
Seems…unhealthy.I explained that Riker was my crush, and I did not like any woman moving in on my hunky Riker. I was young and I hold onto everything negative that has ever happened to me in a book I have written for decades. It helps my anxiety.
He won't. Frakes confirms in his last interview that none of the tng crew will die.
He could be lying. He won't. Frakes confirms in his last interview that none of the tng crew will die.
Maybe but I wouldn't bet money on it.He could be lying.
It'll be Data again, just for laughs.
I was hoping at least one of them would die.
I thought Shelby was a fantastic character in TNG. She was just what the Federation needed during an existential threat. No, she wasn't warm and fuzzy. But she's someone you'd want in your corner when the chips are down. She rocked the boat to get things done. I have not read the New Frontier novels, so I can't comment on those.Nothing at all.
But I think some of the replies (including mine) are not so much about Shelby as about the suggestion that it's somehow inappropriate, just in general, to enjoy watching a disliked fictional character depart this mortal coil.
Personally, I don't think of Shelby as a villain. She's a hero in the NEW FRONTIER novels.
Raises the stakes. This is the grand finale anyway, and it's doubtful most of these characters will return in the future, so why not? If it's a meaningful death.
