Well these weren't the Founders technically, these were renegade Changelings disconnected from the Great Link. But I agree, I don't understand why the Changelings would work for the Borg other than they didn't know they were working for the Borg. I wonder if all those Changelings impersonating officers got killed off in the takeover.

Well Vadic certainly knew. She was taking orders from them, knew Jack was connected to the Borg, and knew what he was going to be used for (so presumably she was going to deliver him to the cube). The changelings also presumably knew what they were doing with the transporters.

I think over 25 episodes (90s series style) we would of had a better drawn out story where we can learn about all the nuances of the protagonist, antagonists etc. I just think the 10 ep format is difficult for writers and viewers alike for an action sci fi show.
I like how the Marvel series have 6 full-length episodes per seasons. Feels "right" for a connected plot.

10 episodes is too much for one, stretched out plot (DIS & PIC), but also feels too little for unconnected, episodic storytelling like on SNW.

Makes me wonder what the in-universe point of the Scary Face was, if Vadic knew she was talking to the Borg Queen.

Wow, I have the TNG remix theme from the closing credits on loop while skimming the posts. Frederick Wiedmann did an amazing job!

I doubt they have any solid info about what those in charge of Star Trek are planning. They might have some unconfirmed rumours and are making assumptions.
Some of the YouTubers are in touch with Matalas and team over streaming appearances. I'd imagine "how's it looking for Legacy" must come up in broad strokes.

I agree with you here. The early movies were a cultural phenomenon, posters everywhere, widely reviewed. The last Star Trek movie that got even close to that level was First Contact, IMO. Picard is buried on a minor streaming service.
Yeah, right.

in 1987 we TOS fans thought TNG would KILL the franchise...being shown syndicated on small UHF stations across the country at weird hours...who would bother to watch that?

And sorry but if P+ Sub numbers are close to accurate, PICARD has had more viewers than the TNG films ever did when they were originally in theaters - by ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE.

Bottom line: Any new presentation of an existing IP will draw in new fans that like it, REGARDLESS of how previous incarnations handled the production/storytelling/character aspects.

Hence Goovok saying that death would be a welcomed release from what they had planned.
