didn’t Matalas come in when most of season 2 was already written anyway?There’s 2 things to me that hurt season 2: the first and biggest was COVID. The next and almost equally hurtful is Matalas had to pick up where Michael Chabon left them and weave a story from where season 1 ended to a place where he could launch season 3 AND try to entertain along the way. That’s a tall order.
That said, I’ve liked season 1 (the photography and the acting in particular were probably the best ST ever had), liked season 2 more but for different reasons and I’m liking season 3 even more, so can’t complain!
