I actually preferred last week but the whole remote control Sydney concept has me intrigued.
That looks like a ton of fun for the actors. I dig the narrative aspect, but my first thought while watching the fight play out was 'I want to do that!'

Absolutely this. Really, really hope we find out he's okay. Seeing the real Tuvok would be even better.I hope we see the real Tuvok. I don’t want his fate hanging at the end of the season.
I hope so. But I want the real Janeway. Not a cartoon, not a changeling - the real deal. But I won't hold my breath. The way they keep name-dropping Janeway, there's no way she doesn't show up eventually.
This is the episode-specific one. You know exactly what you can expect to get spoiled about.
The revelation that the episode had dropped early in some places was before 10 p.m. EST on p. 2 of the thread. The pic of Tuvok was posted over 4 hours later, at 2 a.m. EST, on p. 3.
2 a.m. is definitely going right up to the line. And strictly speaking, it would have been fair game if people who'd seen the episode had wanted to start discussing it at 9-ish p.m. That's what this thread is for. There is absolutely no ambiguity on that point.
exactlyThe forum rules specifically state ...
"For the purposes of discussing Star Trek: Picard in this forum, the spoiler threshold will be reduced to two weeks. That means that plot details for new installments should be spoiler coded for two weeks after an episode first airs in the US, if they're not posted in a spoiler-tagged thread where they can reasonably be expected, such as the discussion thread for a specific episode. After two weeks have passed, plot details can be discussed openly in any thread in the forum."
And so quickly this time! Either great SNAP! acting, or good editing XDGreat scenes with Beverly / Picard, Picard / Jack and Geordi / DataLore. Never ceases to amaze me how easily and definitively Spiner switches between the two.
We don't know if these synths that are organic and seem perfectly human have DNA or not, but they must have something very similar.I am struggling with the Picard DNA thing. He is a golem now and shouldn't have the same DNA. At best it is some kind of copy, but his Golem body would have unique features. Certainly any scan would look to detect some identifier in his actual physiology, not the DNA copied from his dead body. I guess I can accept it for what it is.
(...)
DataLore is kind of bugging me. Why is it only Data vs Lore if Soong and B4 are in there too? Or was it Lal and B4? I forget the details. My guess is that the other parts will be key to how this all ends up.
So he’s on the Titan as well.Tuvok's desk has a Voyager model, a Kal-toh game, his meditation candle, and a Kir'Shara model

He's not just Telepathic, but maybe Empathic with the ability to project his own thoughts / emotions onto others.
Maybe a little Betazoid DNA got mixed in somehow?
Shades of GEM?At the start of the episode, the whispers Jack hears in the turbo lift are multiple voices saying "connect us."
When Jack was with Sidney La Forge in the passageway fighting a changling, his eyes glowed red, he connected with Sidney, first telepathically telling her what to do, then controlling Ens. La Forge movements. She moved as he did.
Just effin' wow! There was a mention or two of Ro making an appearance, but I hadn't heard a single peep about Tuvok...There he is

The opening tune is the one Barrash tried to play on the trombone!
UK here. I enjoyed it but feel like the story has slowed to a crawl. Won't say anything else until more people have seen it so no-one gets spoiled because of the early release.
Yeah, I caught as well. Only because I’m one of the dozens out there who likes Nemesis and has seen it multiple times. I’ve even got the TNG 4K movie collection coming in the mail today.I remember Frakes said a while back he was in every episode, but only had a tiny role in one of them. I guess that's this one.
I was going to say I liked Data enquiring about the Scimitar, nice nod to the last thing he would remember without having to go through the full plot of Nemesis, but then I remembered that Data downloaded his memories into B4 before they arrived at Romulus. Oops!
Maybe there remained a wireless link between them constantly updating Data's memories in B4 until he jumped off the ship.![]()

Totally agree, this episode was built up so much and yet all we learn is a bit of Vadic's backstory with WHY she hates the federation, but nothing that actually connects the event to now and why only now she is going rogue. We found out nothing about the floating head boss and see no more than we did in the trailer, we see a little more about Jack's ability and get a few crumbs about what it could be and get a potential reason of why they needed Picard's body but the reason given was very lame and something that they did not need his body for when his DNA would have done (something I am sure is on file)
I left feeling that the story did not really advance and I felt quite cheated at how little happened overall compared to the well paced episodes so far.
3 episodes left to tie this up and we still do not know what the plan to destroy the federation is nor who is behind it and why.
