They're still on the show. The fact they're no longer in a relationship doesn't mean they're both magically straight (again, if they ever were in the first place). For all we know they'll get back together before the end of the season, but it's not as though they're not there any more.

Absolutely agreed. Woman or man, I genuinely couldn't care less ( I understand why it matters to LBGTQI+ fans / people). Seven in a good, healthy relationship is the important thing. The gender of said partner is less important, IMO.
Trek has always been rather crap in this department IMO. Torres / Paris and Stamets / Culber (to a lesser extent - the "bury your gays" bit didn't impress me in the least) are about the only examples I can think of that actually worked, and neither of them is even remotely in the class of Aeryn / Crichton or Delenn / Sheridan. But the mileage of others will vary.
Curt Swan Superman, José Garcia-Lopez Superman, Frank Dillon/Dick Giordano Superman—same continuity, different looks. It’s art (just like TV shows and movies).
The only way they got Stewart to come back was to promise the show would NOT be TNG 2.0 (which, incidentally, is why I was interested in the first place).
I freely admit to not having read all 53 pages of this thread; I tried, but wow. So forgive me if this has already been discussed. The "Picard's body" theft seems simple enough. The Changelings will use it as a template from which they can create a perfect Picard imposter, so perfect it will pass all security scans. That's why Beverly made such a big deal about the Changelings' ability to replicate human organs. A Picard-Changeling can get into great mischief in the upcoming Frontier Day celebrations.
Picard being public enemy number one might put a crimp in that plan.
By turning him into a fugitive they thoroughly burned that option.
It's all still a little vague yet. Picard's body will be important somehow but it's not a "weapon" per se. Stealing a bunch of tech and weapons, however, did indeed distract attention from the other theft.
The red stuff growing down the walls in Jack's visions still evokes the sense of the Ent-E being assimilated by the Borg in FC.
My best guess is that they're still going to make this about the Borg somehow and the Changelings wanted something from Picard's body. Something related to this and genetics would probably explain why they want Jack too. In fact, maybe they couldn't get what they wanted from the body so they turned to hunting down Jack.

Derp, daylight savings time differences....the Trek Zoom begins at *5 PM EDT (still 9 PM GMT) this week as they haven't turned their clocks ahead yet in the UK where the meeting is being hosted. Apologies for any confusion. Hope to see some new faces. (Also you don't have to get on camera if you don't want to, and nothing is recorded.

If it's done well in the hands of good writers like those behind Logan, sure. Ironically how Luke Skywalker was portrayed was probably the only decent and memorable thing about The Last Jedi. But then it risks becoming an overdone cliche and I don't think it was done very well with Picard where it could've worked with better writers.
Maybe they considered it pointless because speed is the outstanding strength of the Titan.
She is classified as an Explorer, so getting around fast makes sense for her and is consistent with her getting from A to B extremely quickly as shown. Casual Warp 9.99 indeed.
I imagine all ships would be fast at this time, not to mention the Titan wouldn't be able to go at max warp all the time.
It just feels like the writers are getting warp confused with hyperspace again. Warping out isn't a escape. They need to disable the other ships engines first.
The other ships don’t need to be slow. Titan just needs to be a smidge faster to have the other ships fall hopelessly behind.
I would just think warp 9.99 would be rather easy for the other ships to do at this time. Voyager was warp 9.975 just 30 years ago.
We know from Prodigy that slipstream ships are around as well. Just get the Changelings to take control of one of those.
TBH I'm surprised the Shrike doesn't have it.
Titan may be able to sustain it longer too.
