They are doing a good job bringing in younger characters to have them ready to go for a future series. Jack and Sidney might be more welcome than Elnor and Rios.
It's interesting that we haven't seen the Titan's chief engineer yet. But yeah it was nice to seeing the Descendants of the Enterprise-D and -E crew interact all we need now is Kestra to pop up and we'll hit the trifecta. (though I wish they didn't kill Thad off cause he probably would've been the same age as Jack, Sidney and Alandra.)

The fleet museum was cool. A very emotional moment to see Defiant, Voyager and the Enterprise-A again.

I don't buy that Irumodic syndrome is turning Jack into a superhero at times. There has to be more to it.

Was Riker wearing yet another uniform variant? It was too fucking dark but his jacket seemed to be different than Raffi's. And Geordi's was different from Ro's last week, no?

The reveal of what was stolen was kind of underwhelming. I hope it pays off later.

There were a lot of ridiculous things in that one. Kirk's body, killer tribbles, assembling the whole fucking fleet in one place, and geez I can't stand Vadic's theatrics.

Kirk's corpse must be saturated with chroniton particles owing to his many temporal violations.
Picard's corpse must be saturated with tea. Earl Grey. Hot. Unless, of course, it's the body of the Confederation's Picard, which might hold more interest for Daystrom.

nope it seemed like a Black Ops uniform.

It's great to briefly see parts of the bridge disappear even from the inside when the cloak activates. That's not how the BoP cloak works at all, but it was a great effect.

Also (not a criticism of the writing or characterization) it's really interesting how Shaw reveres Geordi La Forge but can't stand the people who he worked with during a huge portion of that legendary career.
Indeed. That's rather...odd. But I suppose it'll be handwaved away as some sort of engineer geek thing (he'd probably revere Scotty and loathe Kirk, too).

Daystrom has:

Unknown...?
The Pup is from DS9's The Forsaken, and the lower one is a self-sealing stem-bolt.

I don’t know why the TNG cast are listed as special guest stars. Frakes has been in every episode so far.

Kudos to the writers who managed to incorporate all these TOS/Movies/TNG/DS9/VOY References into one episode, while at the same time keeping track with the overall story progression. They even had some time left for character development.

Ofc it was a bit over the top at times, but only people who followed all of the episodes and movies will be able to nag about this.

It’s not only the depiction of objects and ships from the overall Trek lore, some scenes are aimed to resemble iconic shots from past episodes and movies.

It was a little bit over the top at times, so i will give it a solid 8, which is still better than any episode of Disco.

Im OK with Picard's body being the second McGuffin of the season. The big question is why his corpse is more important to the changelings than space shifting weapons. I woukd put my bets either on some Borg residue or anti-time particles mixed up with some Nexus flavor. That body surely got in contact with interesting stuff.

i think we can presume that the show’s climax will happen at Frontier Day with TNG crew and friends/androids saving the day. And i am pretty sure that not all of the TNG characters will survive this season.

RMB said there was a reference to the Shatner novels in the season, I guess he was referring to the Kirk body

After what we saw at Daystrom, when they said "human remains", just how many of us thought they'd done the impossible, and acually brought Kirk back!
