The Maquis were virtually wiped out by the Dominion. There wasn't anywhere or anything for Ro to remain a part of.I’m not sure why she went back.
Future Guy™ gave them genetic enhancements maybe?Wow, did we know that Ro was going to be in the show? That was really unexpected.
Also, damn, guess that Starfleet was taking precautions for changelings after the war, but I wonder how the fuck they figured out to perfectly mimic humanoid forms.
It's not the pitch, it's the execution.Does make me laugh a bit how people are praising this season to the high heavens, saying it's a massive improvement on season 1. The story of a child of a TNG regular having a secret identity that is "activated" under duress, being hunted by an old enemy that has also infiltrated Starfleet Command seems a little familiar?
Five less, this episode.
Sheesh! At this rate they'll have to rename the Alpha Quadrant Maple Street!
Maybe we'll have a scene at Starfleet HQ where Picard pulls a Donald Sutherland at the end.
IIRC, she was one of, if not the first, Bajorans we saw on screen. Not sure they were locked in on the makeup yet. I'd have to pull some of those episodes but I believe that the makeup artists stayed loyal to RO's makeup, not what became standard Bajoran. He makeup didn’t look that great. The ridges were rather faded and the top of the nose didn’t have those distinctive dents.
I was going to post a similar response. Seriously you can reduce plots to a sentence or 2 synopsis and have so many things sound the same but when you add the details, they are almost nothing alike. It's not the pitch, it's the execution.
If necessary my father is capable of killing quickly and efficiently.Vulcan murdering criminal, with Vulcan murdering criminal henchmen? Not only no, but HELL no. Piss poor use of the species, and a heretical use of the IDIC.
Yeah, I totally get that and my post was obviously somewhat facetious. It's not the pitch, it's the execution.
It simply comes down to personal preference. Stop searching for Why and accept some Trek is for you, some isn't.But the point really is that previously people have complained about how they hate stories where Starfleet is evil, or corrupt, or compromised, like PIC S1 and DSC S2, but it's clearly not as simple as that.
This is, lest we forget, the culture that encourages ritualistic murder to decide who gets to bone a particular woman. If necessary my father is capable of killing quickly and efficiently.
Perhaps you should forget logic and devote yourself to motivations of passion or gain. Those are reasons for murder.
But I like it all!!!!!It simply comes down to personal preference. Stop searching for Why and accept some Trek is for you, some isn't.
I'm also reminded of how this season started, with Beverly telling Picard not to trust anyone in Starfleet... but even after all this time, we don't really know what she knows. And for whatever reason, she didn't tell anyone else about what she knows for plot reasons, just so Shaw could contact Starfleet and put them in the position to be on the run.
Yeah, I totally get that and my post was obviously somewhat facetious.

That might be my third favorite episode of modern Trek. Very, very nice.
