And? If it's not making money it's only logical.Wait you want it all cancelled? I thought liked STSNW and STP?
This has nothing to do with emotions.

Neither would surprise me.Paramount will not totally abandon Star Trek, as it's still the biggest franchise it has other than maybe Yellowstone - and thus the biggest single draw to their service. It would be like Disney deciding to abandon Star Wars because most of the recent stuff has been lackluster.
Not in the current economic environment.justifies the investment.
That's my take. We'll have more Trek after 2027, but we'll be moving into 4th Generation Trek and whatever that will be.I guess I have a bit more faith, if not a ton, in how things will pan out. Strange New Worlds will continue for a few years. Another live-action show will get greenlit... in a few years. That about sums it up for this era.
I think you might be right. It's over everyone. RIP Star Trek.Neither would surprise me.
Regardless, my point stands. If Trek fails to make money then it will be shelved, regardless of what fans crow about.

Fans should be very careful when celebrating a cancelation.I think you might be right. It's over everyone. RIP Star Trek.![]()

Then you miss the point.Oh I'm still happy STD is cancelled. The 32nd century is pretty boring.
I'll remember that when a show you like gets cancelled.Oh I'm still happy STD is cancelled. The 32nd century is pretty boring.

The schadenfreude over Discovery's cancelation.Remember what?

The lack of sympathy continues to astound.I'm only concerned about the quality of Trek. If a stinker show is going to be cancelled I am all for it. I'd Paramount decides to cancel the rest so be it. I'll be dad but ill be also happy that a bad trek is no longer causing damage to the franchise. I can wait if it takes a few years for more quality trek.
No one's had any sympathy for me wanting the show canceled for the last 5 seasons. The lack of sympathy continues to astound.
Sure I have. I just don't agree. No one's had any sympathy for me wanting the show canceled for the last 5 seasons.

Don't take disagreement as a lack of sympathy. Any more then I would wish your favorite show canceled even if I can't stand it.
Trek fans should learn some teamwork despite differences of opinion.
Liking Star Trek is enough.Well at least we agree on TOS.
Sympathy and camaraderie has to start somewhere.I don't see why I should hold sympathy or empathy for people wanting something I enjoy to end.
Leaving it at that.
