speaking of this, I can’t quite pinpoint the episode now, but I’m almost sure I remember the Doc vanishing when Voyager lost power.

Not really a Voyager fan, myself. Did a complete watch a few years back but only remember a handful of episodes.

this was my favorite scene from this episode next to shaw’s speech. This one scene shows why starfleet exists and it also screams peak Star Trek.

Picard says "Talarian" instead of "Tamarian" in one of the Ten Forward flashbacks.

The subtitles are correct. Probably just Patrick a flubbing a line and no one catching because they sound similar.

Only thing I found weird is why did the changeling use a bucket the exact same design as Odo’s?

And it made no sense the Changeling used the same bucket as Odo but whatever.

It's actually different. Taller and thinner, the outside bars go inside, and there are additional silver bars.

It would sort of make sense for a Founder not in the Great Link to have a compact container into which to regenerate. Odo's was found when he was first discovered so even the Changelings knew he'd need one.

Are we sure these Founders were from the Great Link? Couldn't they be some of the 100 that the Founders sent to all areas of the galaxy (like Odo)? Maybe Odo was a fluke and the rest of the infant Changelings knew who they were and decided they didn't like the outcome of the Dominion War and are actively looking to reverse it

Edit: If Odo's bucket was discovered with him, then that would possibly mean these are the foundling Founders

I think Dr. Mora may have revealed that Odo was found with certain items accompanying him during his journey. The bucket, I believe, was one of those.

Are we sure these Founders were from the Great Link? Couldn't they be some of the 100 that the Founders sent to all areas of the galaxy (like Odo)? I think there was a line about them being rebels who broke from the Great Link over the outcome of the Dominion War.

Yep. Even shapeshifters know you need solid barriers in which to store one's mass. The bucket was probably manufactured for him.

The other reason I thought of that these are the some of the 100 the Founders sent out was, as we know, a Changeling is drawn to the Omarion nebula. Maybe some of the 100 Founders made it to the nebula after the Founders resettled and are pissed, thinking the Federation destroyed their homeworld?

Ah yes the old 'divert power from life support' idea which is used in every other star trek episode, seen here drawn out for several hours! It's a very shallow concept; needed a more epic or clever conundrum and solution, not this tired old story. Come on! Don't know if this is laziness or stupidity on the writers' parts.

If so, thay may be a difference with other places in Europe, then. Over here, many drink for the taste: wine (usually when dining - and wines can taste very different too, from acidic to sweet), special beers (which we specialise in, though lots of countries now have good beer), porto, elixir, cognac, amaretto,...

There are many alcoholic beverages that taste good (depending on one's taste of course, but there so many variations that there is something for every taste) and that are also being consumed - at least by a significant part of their users - for their taste and not to get drunk. Of course, the amount one drinks is then also adapted to the alcohol percentage.

I have the impression that attitude to alcohol is very different in the Anglosaxon countries. And of course there are always those who consume alcohol to get high as quickly as possible, but I wouldn't say that this is a majority of the users over here.

I agree with you 100% there mate - although it does seem that many of my Bulgarian and Romanian friends will drink to get drunk but the guys I know from Spain, France, Germany, Italy have more of an appreciation for the taste as well as the effect.

I think "lad culture" is something that hasn't really managed to cross the English Channel but certainly growing up it was all about who can down the most pints, do the most shots etc etc

You have both rugby and football culture where the rugby lads are all about volume and getting smashed but are less about being a disturbance (almost polite piss heads) but you do get some boorishness whereas football culture is getting pissed on shit beer and alcopops, these days with the added use of cocaine being massively prevalent and generally causing nuisance and trouble (although this isn't all fans but certainly those who follow England at games can be rowdy)
