All in all it was pretty good, though it dragged at times. Some of it was too choreographed.

I am really wondering about the sickly-looking changelings. Are they clones? And why do they carry buckets? And why is Seven so woefully uninformed? I only remember Odo getting knocked out and remaining in solid form (except when he was stuck as a solid in early Season 5) once, in "Vortex" (which made no sense, but he was probably faking it for no reason), so why did this changeling stay in the "La Forgery" form (that's pretty hilarious, @NCC-73515) after she got knocked out?

The original Jack Crusher being way older than Beverly seems weird. My stupid new headcanon is that he fell into a time vortex and reappeared on Stargazer after being missing for a decade or so.

The changeling imitating LaForge was too obvious. I'm used to changelings being smarter. Other than that, episode was great.
Maybe it was a "Teenage" changeling, one who was rebellious and couldn't accept defeat.

So it's not as smart as a "Adult Changeling".

It's not like we don't have dumb "Teenagers" IRL who go do dumb things that cause harm.

Riker's apology to Picard. I read somewhere that Frakes reckons he isn't much of an actor (or words to that effect), but he nailed that scene (and as usual he nailed the direction of the ep).
I think that's Jonathon Frakes being modest about his acting abilities.

No, I wasn't. But he came to grips with it (by the end of the episode, no less). One hopes Shaw will, too.
I thought Sisko was far too quick to get over it. Though because we don't see him interact with Picard outside of the first and 2nd scene we can't state with certainty that he had fully done so.

I much more prefer O'Brien's interactions with Cardassians, even those he knew had nothing to do with his trauma. and he can acknowledge that in the episode, but he isn't over it yet. Or how long it took Kira to grow to even consider any Cardassian not guilty. And in both those cases, those individuals are just the same race, not someone who actually has the same face.

Unfortunately, hate towards Jean-Luc for Wolf 359 (which he was of course not responsible for, he is a victim himself) is a thing on Trek, and I can believe that it still happens. Despite 24th/25th century, enlightened people, blah blah blah. The irresistible human urge to look for someone to blame, etc.
People will be people. It would be unrealistic for it not to happen.

What the hell was that thing about Vadic’s hand? What was that thing she was talking to?
A changeling.

Negatives - Picard was not personally responsible for what happened at Wolf 359. Okay, Shaw was there and what happened was obviously ghastly, but it wasn't Picard's fault. (It wasn't Seven's, either.) Shaw is in dire need of counselling and how the hell he attained a captaincy is beyond me.

Some people hide PTSD really well. And some can't get over the fact that JLP was turned into Locutus.
Despite the fact that both JLP & Seven are "Victims" of the Borg as well.

Okay, totally a stupid thing to get excited about, but did anyone else love that we got a real tractor beam with the right sound effect at the end? I've always thought they look and sound so cool. And I also loved the Wrath of Khan theme kicking in right after T'Veen says the nebula is changing.

I’m 99% sure they just redesigned the FX.
The previous one was brownish, root beer sewage. This one and the hand-ling are bloody red cherry with vanilla sauce. Perhaps they are different changeling subtypes - golden ember honey beings, living diarrhea, and The Thing. Ember honey was so much nicer than The Thing though.

Worf was a Lieutenant Commander in Nemesis. It actually fits.

Worf was never promoted to full Commander.
Ok, so it would fit with where Prodigy is gonna go in S2-X I guess...?

It's a interesting place to hide for a Changeling.

Wrap yourself around her hand, then when she needs you, slice off the changeling to talk to it.
Is the Thing Face literally Vadic's handler then?

There even was someone here who insisted he's a mass murderer because of 359. Tried to reason with them. It was before I realized not everyone here can be reasoned with :D

You're probably right, but it just looks so much grosser. Imagine Odo entering the Great Link and it being a giant pool of chunky diarrhea like that...

I'm holding out hope because these changelings are acting so weird and the weird telecommunication hand thing with Vadic might work with changeling biology being off.

Looked the same to me.

Humans aren't really as enlightened as you might think they are.
Humanity has proven that time & again.

Any views on how "Enlightened, Evolved, etc" are all Smoke & Mirrors.
We're not that different from our ancestors, we're just more educated, more modern, have better knowledge.
But the base aspects of Humanity reside in all of us.
We still have the same weaknesses as Humanity of the stone age.
We're just able to better deal with alot more problems now, but not all of them.

I loved the fact that we finally see somebody throw a Asteroid at Vadic.

Vadic threw a "Small Starship" at the 'USS Titan'.

Riker threw a Larger Asteroid at 'the Shrike'

Turn about is fair play and all.

Yeah I’m guessing. Would explain why changelings are taking orders from a solid.
The Changling is definitely the one hand-ling Captain Vadic.
