Just a thought on Lore (or Data-Lore combo) looking "Old": What if the way he had been in storage his exterior "skin" had been exposed to some form of radiation that is causing it to degrade.
This could be a genius plot mechanism so that at the end of Picard, the exo-skin would have to be replaced - Leaving the character open for recasting. *There were similar discussion during the script writing of Nemesis for Data and recasting.
Oh, how wonderful: he's One of Us!
::applause!::New theory: big bad is Robert Smith from the Cure and his disintegration weapon. Giveaway was the episode title "seventeen seconds"

Best outcome.I have a feeling when all is said and done Shaw will still be Captain of the Titan with Commander Hansen as his number one. And we’ll actually like Shaw.
I could see Raffi becoming part of the Titan crew but XO is a big time reach.

I don't think so. In Data Lore it was stated that the two were identical except for some programming differences.I could see Raffi becoming part of the Titan crew but XO is a big time reach.

maybe Lore has a built in “aging” program like his and Data’s “Mother”.
Different universe.Kirk was given Enterprise when he was a CADET.
Why make Seven jump through a ton of hoops?
Data can age, it was stated in the episode with his mother that they have the same ability to age. So it's possible Lore has it as well.I don't think so. In Data Lore it was stated that the two were identical except for some programming differences.

You still haven't answered my question.

One is a cinematic movie written by someone who doesn't understand Star Trek or the military.
Kirk in the Prime Timeline didn't go from Cadet to Captain. No one has made an extreme jump like that in Star Trek outside of that movie.
While "cunning, courageous and confident", Kirk also has a "tendency to ignore Starfleet regulations when he feels the end justifies the means"; he is "the quintessential officer, a man among men and a hero for the ages"

We don't know that for sure. He could have been an ensign. It just hasn't been said.Prime Kirk started as a Lieutenant.

Seven has already beat his record anyways from going from civilian to Commander in less than a year. Why does she need another boost? Let her spend a few years as a commander.
And Seven doesn't have the starfleet command experience to be a Captain yet.Kirk did not have eighteen years of military experience behind him.

Kirk had been a Starfleet officer for 12 years before becoming Captain of the Enterprise. And Lieutenant Kirk did?
Kirk had been a Starfleet officer for 12 years before becoming Captain of the Enterprise.
He could have been promoted to Lieutenant Commander and so on at some point off screen, we just haven't been told that story yet.Twelve years a lieutenant?
