Using a word twice and in the proper context is “bad writing?”
You need to up your complaint game. Weak sauce.
Oh come on man . That's just sheer hubris. Lol

Sheer fucking hubris.Oh come on man . That's just sheer hubris. Lol
Sheer fucking hubris.
Gotta get it right.![]()
Right, and Matalas is absolutely approaching this as his ode to Trek movies, so it makes sense.
FWIW, SNW is a well-lit show overall. I don't even find Discovery all that poorly lit in its later seasons. So it's hardly universal for modern Trek.
Do not presume to speak for all Trek fans. Gatekeeping is not a good look.
it's something we've been wanting for decades.
Again, speaking for everyone.Well yes. I did mean to say that 'All fans should be hyped for Picard S3," it's something we've been wanting for decades.
Nah. It’s fine but I don’t feel as though I’ve been waiting for decades for this.
This season promises to follow up on the post-Dominion War aftermath, the fates of multiple TNG characters... Many fans are looking forward to it anyway!Well yes. I did mean to say that 'All fans should be hyped for Picard S3," it's something we've been wanting for decades.
However, I recognize there may be a few that are not. I welcome reading their critiques of this season in the weeks to come : )
It makes the discussion more engaging.
You don't get to sheer hubris until you use it three times.Oh come on man . That's just sheer hubris. Lol
Checks out.Say it three times in front of a mirror and Admiral Clancy will suddenly appear behind you and eat your face.
Why would they?Surely Trek's showrunners know the complaints about redoing Wrath of Khan repeatedly as in Nemesis and more glaringly Into Darkness.
It's not supposed to.It's not even bringing much new to the table
But continuity wise I'm not that that strict. I allow for reasonable in universe explanations for apparent contradictions... which SNW and DISCOVERY don't allow for.
But aside from all that, until DISCOVERY and later SNW, no new series contradicted an entire other series.
PICARD season 3 is supposed to be fully canonical. Yay!
I could barely see the costumes I'm some scenes. It's gotten way to dark. Yeah the tus movies were darker than the tv show but at least there was enough light to make out details. Picard is the darkest lit of all shows.
Star Trek: Picard is fully canonical. So is Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Lower Decks, Star Trek: Prodigy, Star Trek: Short Treks, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek: Nemesis, Star Trek (2009), Star Trek Into Darkness, and Star Trek Beyond.
Again, speaking for everyone.

But one person's 10 course delicacy is another's thin gruel, so YMMV...
