Yes that's part of the discussion but Hawat starts off by asking if the baron knows why the emperor wanted House Atreides destroyed and then talks about the training of the troops by Ducan and Gurney to match the sardukar.

The talk about the harsh environments and Salus Secundus then comes as Thufir goads the baron to use Arrakis as his prison planet and for raban to squeeze the population.

He still talks about the Fremen though...

There's a reason there is a glossary in the back of the book.

I don't remember, I think it was more that the copies weren't that good and it was a waste of money.

The Dune Encyclopedia though I jumped on when I saw a library selling it for $50 on eBay buy it now. That thing I could flip now for a big profit. I have it vacuum sealed and just look at my Epub version.

I had a 1st gen kindle and hated it. During Covid I missed reading so much I broke down and got a kobo and now the eReaders are awesome and you can borrow library books right to them (as long as you don't get a kindle).

So, in Canada major retailers have stopped selling the Dune blue ray. Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart have all delisted it. Double dip with the correct aspect ratio incoming?

Most likely, they won't pull product for a successful movie if there is not something coming to replace it.

I bought the German 3D Blu-ray version (it included the English soundtrack). The aspect ratio looked fine to me as I didn't see the film in a cinema.

Not bothered. Your foveae cover too small a fraction of your visual field (about 0.1%) to take in everything happening on an IMAX screen anyway.
