Oh. Oops. Sorry.

With the NCC-1701, I think it's a special case. In TMP, Decker says, "This is an almost totally new Enterprise." If you look at the ship in TMP compared to the look in either TOS or SNW (your choice), I believe it. Any way you slice it, the Enterprise in TMP is a new ship for all intents and purposes. And Morrow in TSFS has no idea what the Hell he's talking about.
So it's really more like this:
NX-01 --> 10 years
NCC-1701 (Pre-Refit) --> 25 years
NCC-1701 (Post-Refit) --> 12 years
NCC-1701-A --> 7 years
NCC-1701-B --> Unknown, but speculated to be around 40 years
NCC-1701-C --> Unknown, but speculated to be less than 10 years
NCC-1701-D --> 8 years
NCC-1701-E --> Unknown, but 9 to 30 years
Therefore, I'd argue that the Enterprise-B is the only Enterprise to truly break 30 years, and non-canonically at that. The original Enterprise having such a major refit in TMP is like cheating. So having the Enterprise-E in PIC would be the thing that's unusual, instead of the other way around.
Heh, hardly worthy of an apology.Oh. Oops. Sorry.
Worf being a pacifist now makes sense as a men who commanded the federations flagship in the past.
Noting that the new villain is a copy of a copy doesn't make her more impressive.Does it? One is a literary quote and the other is not (as far as I'm aware), which I'd think was a fundamental distinction. Nor are grandiose villain lines remotely unique to Khan. Hell, given that he steals a couple from Ahab and is obsessed with his target resulting in his own downfall, I suppose we should dismiss him as an Ahab ripoff from now on.
And add the usual defensive kneejerk apologism of lazy writing.At least we've got Khan ripoff and 'memberberries out of the way - now we just need someone to be called a Mary Sue to complete the trifecta of the usual lazy kneejerk criticism.
I’m so optimistic!!Great trailer! It does what a good trailer should do: it teases characters and plot points and raises my excitement.
My impression from the trailer is that the villain starts hunting the TNG characters to draw Picard out. She goes after Crusher. Picard gets the gang back together (Riker, Tori, Worf and Geordie) to go rescue Crusher. They go in the new Titan. They get ambushed by the villain. And then later we get the Ent-F. Not sure how Lore and Moriarty fit in.
To those complaining that we are getting yet another villain out for revenge trope: as long as the story is good, I don't think it matters. Yes, we've gotten some bad takes like Nemesis but we've also gotten some great takes like Wrath of Khan. And the fact is that the villain out for revenge can be a very compelling trope when it is done right. From the trailer, I am optimistic that it will be done well in Picard. It looks like Amanda Plummer really chews the scenery well, which always makes the villain more fun to watch. We get some great battle scenes too. I hope the villain's motivations are strong and her connection to Picard is good because that is important. The villain out for revenge trope works best IMO when the villain has a strong motivation for what they are doing and a strong connection to the main characters.
We are also getting Moriarty and Lore back. So it seems this final season will tie in to TNG. That's good. And we get the TNG main characters back together. That's wonderful. I hope we get a satisfactory conclusion to TNG.
Overall, I think this final season has the potential to be really great. Can't wait.
He always had that. The only thing hers did that his didn't was to project false bio-signs.But now updated to Juliana Soong aging tech.
No, no, no. Not a fiddler in a restaurant.Cameo appearance by Benedict Cumberbatch as the fiddler in the restaurant. Internet meltdown brought to you by Paramount + .
It always seemed crazy that no one (Bruce Maddox?) ever thought to have a go uploading Data’s brain into Lore. B-4 couldn’t handle it, but Lore was functionally identical to Data.With the mis-direction trailers can give - What if that isn't Lore, but really, somehow, Data from Nemesis. But now updated to Juliana Soong aging tech.
Not appearing this season and no.Hang on. Where's Laris?
Is Season 3 set before Season 1?
Moriarty, Lore and the Enterprise-F. This could be either amazing or a complete tire fire.
I can't wait!
Riker's reaction to Worf's confession of now being a pacifist is hilarious.
