I thought the goats were mildly funny at first then started to get a bit annoying. But the scene of them crashing the longship through Zeus' skylight to Guns N Roses was absolutely hilarious and completely won me over again.

They were more than mildly funny to me at first, but yeah, it got a bit too much too soon. But like you said, the Zeus Skylight scene was amazing. Oh, and the crashing into Gorr's world had me snorting somewhat.

I honestly think they were well done. As in, you got sick of them after a while and than something absolutely hilarious did happen with them and you appreciate them again.

My god this film was incredibly stupid. There were maybe 5 minutes worth of decent content and the rest was complete garbage. I don't know. Maybe superhero films have"jumped the shark" now. But this was not a good film by any means imo. Probably the worst out of the MCU so far. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of these types of films and series. (Doubtful..)
The best is certainly behind us now at least. They have gotten progressively worse the last couple years. I don't mind a bit of comedy here and there but when it is an all out spoof it takes me out of anything meaningful.

The MCU has alone close to 30 films and at least a dozen tv series at this point. It'sfollowing the same exact pattern as the comics did in the late 80's and 90's.

Finally saw this when it dropped on Disney plus, and...I can't see why people hated it? I mean, it wasn't as good as Ragnarok, but it was still much better than the other two Thor movies. I'd actually say from a perspective of writing it was better than Multiverse of Madness (which had some glaring plot holes and characterization issues. I didn't love it, but I thought it was...fine.

One of the biggest critiques I've seen of the movie regards the unfunny jokes but...I felt like they were meant to not be particularly funny? Notice the jokes nearly all come from Thor himself (the few scenes where he's not onscreen are basically all serious unless Korg is involved). I think it was purposefully designed to be awkward and uncomfortable, not to make you laugh out loud.

The beginning of the first act was very wobbly, with a lot of expository dialogue which seemed a bit pointless. The scene with the Guardians was awful, largely because Chris Pratt seemed to be phoning it in. But there were elements of it (Gorr's origin story, the setup with Jane) which I thought worked well. The second act's weird side-quest to the city of the gods was completely pointless, and IMHO should have been cut to give Jane more time. The third act was much, much stronger than the remainder of the movie however. Ultimately this movie finally got me to feel something for Thor and Jane's relationship (it's a rarity in Marvel films that I get any feels at all), and the portrayal of Gorr was just so much better than the stock Marvel villain (though did his last words really have to be "I am dying"?)

Flawed? Absolutely. But this is B-tier Marvel, not some new low for the franchise. Do people forget how mediocre a lot of Phase 1 was now?

I rewatched Love & Thunder last night. I still love it and think it's the best of the Thor films. I do think the humor falls flat while the GOTG are around, but once they split I think it's hilarious. I honestly don't see what the problem with the goats is. They pop up for a few seconds only a handful of times. I have no problems sticking with the A- rating I gave it and still hope we get a 5th film.

Funny how either people absolutely love the screaming goats or absolutely hate them. A huge gulf between the two.
I loved the goats, but I've kinda fallen in love with goats in generally lately, so that's probably a big part of why.
