    As far as the craziness goes in this movie, I like the idea that we the audience didn't really see the actual unfettered events as they happened because remember, what we're watching is Korg's recollection of the events.

    So every event in the film is going through that particular filter.

    I had originally thought that only the events up to the end of the Guardians section were meant to be filtered, but Noname Given's explanation makes a lot of sense.

    My understanding is that you have to be worthy (in that specific time and place) to lift the hammer, but such a protection isn't on the axe

    Also this very movie canonizes an afterlife from which Korg could have narrated the story.

    which begs the question. Is non variant Loki hanging out there?
